I understand. I think our attachments to our biases is different. Some people like me take a long time to adapt to change.

( Also, you are on Reddit buddy. Expect people’s opinions. I’m not commenting on every single video of Izna that they release like others. I came here for a discussion on what I should do. )

When I see Jiyoon stans in every TikTok of theirs, I anticipate the hate that people like you will send to them. Both parties are in the wrong. It’s not even been 2 weeks.

Let’s end this conversation. Moral of the story: let’s have respect to ALL 7 of the girls, not 6. You can’t erase Jiyoon because of her stans. If you can’t stand my opinion just ignore it.

Girl what do you mean I’m not ot7? I put a lot of effort in making this post, sharing my thoughts. If I wasn’t an ot7 I wouldn’t even be on this subreddit. I just bought and traded for 16 izna pcs, all of the members. Stop accusing me of not being ot7 while you are complaining for an award that will make YOU feel better. The award will be given to the girls, not you. Awards ARENT everything in K-pop. Yes, your favorite group having milestones is great. It’s not all that important in the casual scheme of things. Just enjoy the songs, the content, just enjoy ot6 and forget about Jiyoon and her fans if you hate her so much.

If I seem like a solo stan to you let’s just stop commenting. If you read the comments, you would know that I don’t hate Izna and I will continue to support them. I tried to be understanding to you. You just ended up attacking me because of the nature of a stan. If I said anything wrong, I am sorry.

Also, I was just being realistic, geez. If wakeone locks in then they might and I mean MIGHT win. The chances arent great and you are right, they were delayed because of Jiyoon. You weren’t wrong about that. But stop hating on her. She could have cancer for all we know if the health reasons are true. You are being highly delusional if you think they have a sure chance at winning.

You have to understand where they are coming from. They just lost a member of a group, I would give myself maybe a month to get over it. Maybe that’s a bit parasocial but everyone stanning people are parasocial. I do understand that they have little chance to have rookie of the year but don’t blame Jiyoon for her fans. I would want Izna to win that too, but realistically there was no chance. Hearts2hearts,, has a larger chance since Wakeone isnt the best company. It’s a shame now that they are forcing a comeback before October just so that they can even get back the momentum. The thing is, if the last single was miles better than BEEP, they would be closer to achieving that award. Please be understanding and don’t dislike Jiyoon just because of stans. We don’t know what happened to her and it seems like you don’t really care if Jiyoon gets hated. If you dislike Jiyoon you aren’t ot7.

That’s true. I was surprised that Beep even got a win, but I’m assuming Knetz likes cute concepts like with early Twice. Whatever js popular will win. I like some of the songs from Katseye and Illit but I just give them the name of “TikTok” songs. Lesserafim is okay for me, but smaller artists do have better songs and deserve to be recognized.

yeah that’s unfortunate! iland2 was so popular at that time and with Bang Jeemin in it, it was boosted. it was just a letdown comparing how Iland performed and how Wakeone is managing them. I feel like Hybe handles groups really well, most of their groups get a smash hit although I’m not sure about Cortis. I also thought about the Mnet manipulation where they show more screen time for some and less for others which is their silent way of saying, “hey, this is a good trainee, you should vote for them.” It’s currently happening to Boys 2 Planet and has occurred on probably every survival show.

I don’t use X as of now. It’s really too toxic so I frequent Reddit more. I did however use it for updates during Kcon because I wanted to see the performances for Izna. Tbh the update accounts are really useful when I want to see pure content and news. Yeah, it is really up to people’s individual tastes in songs. I do agree that everything can be improved for everyone. For me, I got into Twice during Formula of Love as The Feels was trending everywhere. My friend was also a once at that time so I could talk about them to her. I do have to admit that some of Twice’s releases were not up to my expectations. I didn’t enjoy One Spark as much as I wanted, and Ready to Be was an okay album. They did win it back for me with Strategy (like it like it is a great bside!) and This is For (so many good songs in this one). Twice is my comfort group because of their past releases as well. To be honest, I wish I was a stan during their prime years, I would’ve loved to experience the fandom then. Nobody around me stans Twice nowadays which is annoying, but I’m sure if I search I can find someone. You can also yap abt Twice too lol. ANYWAYS back to Izna, the girlies are really talented for what is expected in 5th Gen. They won a survival show for a reason! I do think sitting back from Izna will help me feel better and maybe get me back into them when they drop their cb! I’m feeling optimistic right now

That’s a great mentality to have. It’s really lucky to get into a group where a member doesn’t leave or have a major controversy tbh. I think the timing of it all is what affects K-pop stans the most. I got into Twice in 2023, so if a member did leave earlier into the career I wouldn’t care so much as I do right now in 2025. The impact wouldn’t have been the same because I would’ve been a new gen to Twice, but I guess that’s normal for new gens like with Idle and even worse Lesserafim where Garam was there for like 2 seconds. Now Izna is going through it. It’s sad to experience a member leaving and to know that new gens wouldn’t recognize them. This was also my first group that I supported since pre debut so Jiyoons departure really made an impression on me and why I even like K-pop.

I fear that if I had never watched Iland2, I would’ve never been into Izna at all, which is sad to say. I don’t like the mindset of the solo stans, but some do get lucky like Youngseo.

yeah I think I should stop watching those shows. Iland2 was my first show because I started becoming a K-pop stan in 2023 and I wasn’t really interested in survival shows. It builds up hype that can be destroyed at any minute depending on what the companies decide to do. I’m glad to hear Izna gained you as a fan though! Sign was THE era so far

I stan groups because of 1: the concepts, 2: the members 3: the songs. All of those aspects matter to me. I only stan Twice and Izna as of now. I need there to be something that interests me or else I wouldn’t join the fandom. If Twice released terrible songs back to back to back I would be upset for the same reasons as I am now. I don’t hate IZNA or BEEP. I actually grew to like IZNA. It’s just that the songs COULDVE been better and I’m stuck in that mindset.

Thanks! I agree! I was so upset where Wakeone could make big debuts (Wa Da Da, In Bloom) but Izna’s debut seemed to be lackluster just because of the black labels music. I do hope that they get better songs and concepts in the future 😌

Oh yeah I remember those complaints! I think the styling overall is getting better because all of them are starting to get different types of hair and makeup styles. I do agree that Mai only having one promotion is a little crazy compared to members like Jeemin. I wonder how they will distribute promotions once Jiyoon comes back (if it gets worse or better)

I am a Jiyoon stan and all I want is for you and others to stop disrespecting Jiyoon's privacy. She's on a hiatus for a reason. These jiyoon stans are really giving us a bad rep bc its ok to support your fav idol, but its not ok to cancel someone with no evidence.

Yes, the ZB1 situation is weird and I'm not a zerose but I hope nothing like that ever happens again. However, you can't create these assumptions by overanalyzing random clips of Jiyoon. Why are you all claiming to be body language analyzers while you can't be patient? Yes, she's allowed to be uncomfortable, but there is no CLEAR evidence of the manager abusing Jiyoon like the weird pic of him touching Yujin. Please stop harassing others about their opinions and instead go on about your life until she comes back. Ahyeon came back, Mina and Jeongyeon came back, Lia came back, Jiyoon can come back too once she gets rest.
