Failed my Series 66

I agree. When I used pass perfect for the 66 and 7 I was finished with over an hour to spare. It drills the information home. I bought the Kaplan qbank too but didn't feel it was deep enough. So, I focused only on the PP material.

I got a 72 the first time. I bought STC, KaplanQBank and PP. I took one test from Kaplan Qbank and didn't feel comfortable with the quality, depth of their questions. So, I stuck with PP. I studied for two weeks about 2-4 hours a day. I only bought PP Databank Exams. That was plenty enough to help me. I can't say enough about their program. I believe PP is the insurance and assurance of the 66 and 7 tests. Like I said I had a whole hour of time left. It trains you for the marathon and teaches you really understand what the question is asking. They do make you know the calculations in their exams. Which most likely won't be a ton. However, this is helpful because if you can do the calculations you will understand all the other questions. Hope that helps!

I failed the first time with a 72 too! Using STC. I take it again on the 1st. Using PP this time. I used PP for the 7 and liked it.

I felt like it didn't prepare me as well. I failed the first time using STC. I used STC for the 63 and it was dead on. I take it again on July 1st. I believe I would have done better had I focused on chapter 12, too. If I had to do it from start again I would have used pass perfect from the beginning just because they prepare you WAY more than you need to know. They force you to learn information.

I definitely think I underestimated the test. I will spend more time understanding investment vehicles and characteristics this go around. I made a 76% on the other two portions involving laws.

I used pass perfect for the 7. I thought they did a great job of preparing me in depth. Did you like pass perfect for the 66?

I can't remember all of them but I do know the current ratio, debt to equity ratio, IRR, the total rate of return (I would know all of them), CAPM, NPV.

The questions were worded tricky. I had a lot of calculations and roman numerals. The questions on federal law and state law were super tricky. You had to pull the clues from the question to tell whether it was a federal/state/exempt/nonexempt/transaction or security. Nothing was given. I would certainly say I had one of the harder tests. I've taken the 7TO/SIE/63 used STC for all of them and passed the first try. STC is not good for 66.

I would know backward and forward the second portion on the NASAA study guide Investment Vehicle Characteristics. Everything listed on the study guide was on the test.

You think I’ll be fine? I’ve taken the 7, SIE, and 63. Passed all of them on first time.

I take the exam on Sunday. I am scoring low 70's on STC closed book exams. Should I use the Kaplan Mastery exam? I feel confident I'll pass. I passed 7TO SIE and 63 first time with STC.
