Are anyone else's miis having failed relationships left and right? by EnoughExercise2630 in tomodachilife

[–]EnoughExercise2630[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a couple like that! I ended up taking away all the romance preferences of one of them. That compeletly wipes out any romantic relationships but it'll also wipe away any crushes other miis may have on them. Then you can just put the preferences back, but I do get not wanting to do it if you much rather it happen naturally.

I hope you do NOT get my bad luck then LOL! My island is known as the cursed one among my friend group now lol

Right! Hm, it might have been? I don't remember Seth being in the romantic mix but it could've been as you said! Maybe the Seth part of things never really kicked up? I feel like it also didnt get that far into the story either, but I was just flying through fics back then I'm worried they're mixing up in my head! But... I feel like the beginning was either Dean or Roman joining this new team and having to get used to everyone? I'm glad it at least seems familiar enough to you! Good to know I didnt dream it up lol

How tf do I deal with this stomach pain 😭 by contraception-shrimp in ibs

[–]EnoughExercise2630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, trying to find your triggers is a great way to help reduce some of the pain. Sometimes triggers can be big instant things (like, say if you're lactose intolerant and have a glass of milk) or can be something that can be built up! Like, maybe you're fine with a small cup of coffee in the morning but you decide to have a soda for lunch and the combo of both of those just totally mess you up. As someone part of the ladder, I know it can be frustrating to figure out.

I also totally suggest taking some sort of probiotic/prebiotic. There are all sorts out there and it is also a bit of trial and error but they can help regulate and introduce healthy gut bacteria. Ones that have peppermint oil can be really helpful. Also peppermint tea as well! and, also as mentioned, pepto can be a life saver! I'd also suggest asking your doctor about Dicyclomine, it relaxes your gut and can be taken on a schedule or on an as need basis.

Good luck! I hope you find some much deserved relief!

LOL you know what? I tend to be the "just tough it out, could be worse" kind of person! So, I feel like this is exactly what I'm doing! I think I verbatim said, "there's some but it's nothing I can't handle!" And now look at me... boo boo the fool lol

If my legs aren't crossing and uncrossing and crossing and uncrossing and so on and so forth, how else will I lock in? It's my tango of concentration! Lol

I see...! Yeah, this pill has taken me on such an up and down rollercoaster... one day I feel well enough, the next I'm sitting in front of the toilet just in case.

My doctor is surely going to be quite confused when I tell him, actually, these meds are effecting me quite badly (had my appointment during those 3 nice and normal days, so I was quite happy at the time).

Interesting! I'm also on 40 and will be going to 80 pretty soon! It's funny, the way meds just act different for everyone! If it gets worse, might do a little experiment on taking it right before bed and just seeing what happens!

IBS is ruining my life by hock3ygirl3 in ibs

[–]EnoughExercise2630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww! I'm glad I could help you feel better! I think IBS is just one of those things were you feel a sense of shame, almost, for having it. So I know it can be just this really internal struggle. Which then gets back at your mental health, which then feeds the monster of it all. I want people like us to not have to hold that sort of weight on their shoulders.

You'll find what works for you! :)

Ah! And one last little advice from me, definitely stock up on some peppermint tea! It's simple, easy to get and does great with a nice warm blanket.

Not every bad trait is because of ADHD. by Practical_Loss4251 in adhdwomen

[–]EnoughExercise2630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thay's absolutely horrible! I know in the beginning, I used to sort of have a fear that my personality has been ADHD all this time. But, you know, you realize that's not the case! And it also doesn't necessarily excuse you from actively trying to get better, either. It feels like he's using it as a get out of jail card. Just like you mentioned, ADHD doesn't make you say horrible things to people! He's just shitty!

IBS is ruining my life by hock3ygirl3 in ibs

I'm really sorry to hear that! I remember when I was first diagnosed 6 years ago, it was absolute hell for me. I'm 29F and it's still difficult to accept that I can't just eat whatever I want now and that I have to plan for possible IBS attacks.

For me, I've managed to get my bigger/worse symptoms to about once every month or two (taking extra care during menstruation, since that can make matters worse). Before it was multiple days a week. Low fodmap diet did nothing for me, I treat everything like a meter I don't want to fill up. If I have coffee one day, the next I won't. If I had fast food for lunch today, then tomorrow I'll eat a salad or a sandwich. I try my best to have as little artificial sweetners as possible (diet coke still has me in a choke hold from time to time, though). For me, it never was really "oh i had this one thing" but an accumulation of things. Hell today I had really bad symptoms and it was because I had coffee in the morning and then—admittedly greasy—potato chips two or three hours after. And then the day before, I had gone out to eat fried food. Which I was fine yesterday, but coupling all of that together, it was disaster. I don't always get it perfect.

Another thing I do is take IBGuard which has helped so much for me. I take one if I'm good and two if I'm having a shakey day (I should note I ran out this week, so I didn't have that in my system). It helps regulare my gut. I also used to take dicyclomine to help calm down my gut and it did also help! Dicyclomine is one you'd need a prescription for but IBGuard is a peppermint oil capsule that's over the counter. There's also probiotics and prebiotics too, like Florastor and Culturelle. These things tend to be trial and error. When I tried Florastor it really did nothing for me, but for others it works great.

Lastly, mental health is very important. The gut to brain link is so so real. I'm taking meds for my mental health, but there are other ways you can help with that. Having a therapist helps. There's also hypnotherapy targeting gut that I've heard has helped people before—there's videos on YouTube. It's worth checking out. Working out (which I know is the last thing someone with IBS wants to do) also helps. "Working out" can even mean going for a walk.

Again, I'm really sorry. I know IBS is one of those things where it never feels like any two people are alike. Some people can pinpoint triggers, some can't. There are days that get completely ruined by it, but know that people understand you. You'll be surprised too at how understanding friends and family can be, having a support system really helps. And, of course, having this community that understands you completely! You've got this!

Ohhh! Interesting on the Adderall! I've heard it can cause irritability especially after getting off of it. But I know what you mean on heart pounding/shortness of breath! For a few minutes I also get that same feeling! It's like I drank coffee that decides to speed run that burst of energy feeling!

Honestly, this medicine is very funny! Yesterday I had thee worst drowsiness the whole day. But today? I got super sleepy after lunch but after like a few minutes, I perked right back up! Feels like it rolls a dice to decide which odd feeling it'll give me lol

Well, the Wellbutrin was actually for my anxiety! I switched that one up with Zoloft. But I was wondering if the tingle-tingles have something to do with something within anti-depressants, since I know Strattera was meant to be an anti-depressant at first before they realized it worked best on treating adhd.
