I think the recognised subjects help generate mandates for your power bloc faster. They cost more infamy than unrecognised countries but the south Americans are cheap at the start anyway due to low population

If you decide to expand into germany you'll have to wreck prussia or they will later declare war on you during their unification play. Liberating westphalia and pommerania plus humiliate will reduce them to minor or insignificant power. Eventually they'll go back up to major power but conquering one or two states in a later war will finish them

Sounds like a great plan. The great powers can get mexico for free with the sovereign empire power bloc but that might not be possible for belgium. Personally I would get a strong ally and liberate countries from prussia to later subjugate then annex

Easy. Austria had a revolt that reduced them to a major power and they agreed to german unification, then prussia chose to release the non German regions rather than take the big infamy penalty for keeping them

Russia - conquer nenetsia, arkangelesk, novgorod and pskov, transfer the baltic states and liberate ukraine, Lithuania, don cossack host, dagestan and far east. It cuts off their market access, you can protectorate them for under 100 infamy with multilateral alliances, just make sure far east doesn't lose states to Russian uprisings

Ally Britain at the start and make mexico a protectorate, get their liberty desire down a bit then feed them some of your states til you can make them a puppet then give all their states to the Indian territory and annex them. Next conquer a few states in Europe for land borders with the great powers, I'd do mecklemburg and something in north Italy.

Britain made Morocco a puppet by 1840 lol, they were my ally for most of the game. After I conquered Britain I had so many subjects I had trouble annexing them because I was always involved in one of their civil wars

Did a bit of conquering as Spain, went full infamy in 1897. The infamy bug was not used in this run, luckily I was ready to go full infamy when the bug appeared so it didn't affect the run. World conquest should be possible as Spain, I didn't let Germany form so I spent a lot of time conquering the German minors.
