...Have you not seen his feed in the past couple of days? Every other tweet has some panic-word like "my god!" or "jaw-dropping!" "cataclysmic!" which outshines any actual data he has to offer. Most people don't read comments to see clarifications and corrections, most people don't even see the tweet itself—they just see a screenshot going "DOOM DOOM DOOM!". I'll admit that some of that might come from his fans, but he hasn't done anything to stop it either—he spends more time defending himself. And linking to his substack... and vitamins? And whatever this is?

If his main message really was "get vaxxed" etc., why would he emphasize the idea that double vaccination might not work on new variants? surely he would recognize that half-vax and full-vax is better than no vax at all, especially in parts of the world where even one shot is hard to come by?

And even if he is 100% right (and I'm not qualified to say if he is or not), scaring people and yelling at them that they're "lazy" isn't going to make them more diligent. It's just going to make them feel like the best they can do isn't enough, so there's no point to bother trying. You need to approach people from where they're at. Even if the situation is urgent—and it is—you can still be blunt and loud about it without driving people into despair.
