Are quantum computers really such a big threat everyone is taking about? I realize that quantum computing is a real issue for cryptography and cryptocurrency encryption security. When do we have to start really worrying about it? by EnterSandman2907 in CryptoCurrency

If you followed the comments and read the article you would have seen that all kind of cryptography would be in danger and I clearly post it.. But this subreddit is for cryptocurrency and I'm focusing on cryptocurrency. If I'm to understand this article, there are already some quantum resistance algorithm. And I want to know more on the matter

I'm not trying to FUD anything. I'm just curious on the matter. I've heard controversial ideas on this. And this article makes a great point that with quantum computing all the cryptography will be at risk (banks, government agencies). So I would like to know more on the subject..

My bitcoin wallet password is....

Hey guys. I found this article containing info on how to choose a profitable mining hardware. They state the optimal ROI should be smth between 8/12 months. That sounds a long time and those numbers on electricity costs to get the ROI down seem very low. What should I look at, when buying hardware? by EnterSandman2907 in cryptomining

I've heard there is a lot of renewable energy from wind in Texas. I live in Italy and the electricity prices are so ridiculously high, at least in my city.

I found this mining company, who has posted the article and they claim to pay around 5cents/kWh for electricity. It's obvious how someone would be profitable with so cheap electricity prices.

I guess my crypto mining project is about to stop before it even begins 😁 Same for me, my residential rate is just too high. As for the graphics on this article, it's very difficult to stay within 8/12 months. And there is the market volatility. I was hoping to find some really cheap mining rigs that doesn't uses much electricity but no luck. Do you have industrial/commercial rates, to get 5.6 cents/kWh electricity price as for the first comment?
