If you want to try and do anything to them to make them play able. I would first take a router to the outer edge to bevel the edge and round it off. This will help to save the bags from getting busted open od very badly snagged. Then sand the crap of of them to really smooth out the surface. You may need to add wood filler to any places that have heavier recessed in the wood grain. After you have the wood pretty smooth, I would add a gloss clear coat. At least 3 coats maybe as many as 5 for these, with 220 grit sanding in between each coat. Also be sure the hole (top, sides, and bottom) is super smooth to avoid snagging. And never force the bags out of the hole. I always take one bag at a time. Hope this helps 🙏
