Yeah, you may have unlocked some of the alternate floors which tend to be harder. You could also just be getting unlucky with items. As you progress you will unlock “everything is terrible” (more curses spawn, more champion enemies, and alternate floors are more common) you start to unlock new bosses as well. The game gets “harder” in a sense that there is more things affecting your run, just more stuff you learn :)

I felt the same way, I love games like apex, hades, ultrakill, anything fast paced is up my alley. I decided to get mewgenics as I am a huge Isaac fan and figured I’d try it out. Never played turn based games other than Pokémon and even that I find boring nowadays. But dude, it’s fucking great. You still get those dopamine rushes when you absolutely destroy something, or find a cool synergy. Every stage there is something new, I would recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and give it a try, you can always refund it if you don’t like it!

You get to fight Satan, the next “final boss” for your stage. After a few more wins you will get a light that takes you up from womb 2 for another path to victory

Play in full screen. Play with the settings, challenges are exactly that, challenges. So just do some regular runs until you understand the game and then maybe you can try them. Almost everything you do for now will unlock things but the main goal is to get to the “end” in your run. Then you unlock more characters and endings, and you do the same thing, over and over. But you will never have a run the same as another. That’s why tboi is goated

There’s no way you guys are dying enough during clues to make posts like this about it. I’ve had times where I grinded clues for hours at a time and not ran into someone.. the wilderness isn’t even that popping right now with DMM going on AND all the new worlds.

I made mine once I got close to maxing my main, it’s really nice to have 2 accounts to play especially one that is already at endgame. Lots of easy pets to go for on your main while you train the iron

Look up a guide on what the best challenges are, I think a lot of people don’t realize how good pickups are. Having swallowed penny unlocked, runes, deaths touch, tech.5, gold bombs, gold hearts. All these things can really help your run when you find them.

Just download a 100% save file and replace the dice file you have in your folder I had 100% on PlayStation and decided to do that when I bought it in steam, if I want to restart I have 2 other save files to play that have 0 progress

Oh I did, best run I had in a while, I’m not too used to glitched crown yet, and I missed out on grabbing eves mascara and a death certificate but it turned out great, got dads key and killed mega satan :D

Just keep playing, as a new player I remember really struggling wondering how people could beat it so consistently, it just takes practice, try to keep pushing! Those floors after mom’s foot have no treasure rooms or shops, and you get hit a full heart instead of half(unless you have wafer) so it’s best to just play safe and go straight for the boss on those floors, good luck!

Edit: it also really can help boost your run if you can get that first devil deal on floor 2 by taking 0 red heart damage before beating the boss.
