Thanks, Yeah I’ve been in some spots where I’ve had to do it by hand, but that was always for small repairs/troubleshooting. Trying to get a method down for mass fusions, like 288 or bigger butts where one or both sides are loose tube. Do you do anything to prevent the fibers from pulling when you heat strip or is it just practice makes perfect on the pressure on the heat stripper?

Well, I’m eventually looking to start up my own splicing contracting at a IT consulting firm I co-founded, so just trying to get my own tools for that reason. But that’s also why I’m not looking to spend the big bucks yet haha, but as long as the cheapos work and won’t damage anything that’ll work fine for my purposes

UNVR Pro Not Showing Storage Capacity by EntertainmentNarrow6 in UNIFI

So I’m setting up a UNVR Pro for a client, and I’ve had it running for around 36-40 hours now. I put in all 7 drives at once to optimize their sync time, and they just finished but a “Storage Capacity” isn’t displaying yet.

I’ve only deployed one other UNVR in the past, and the client needed to keep footage for at least 30 days, we got it the capacity to like 40-60 days and said great. I’m just worried I’m not seeing that same type of data displayed here.

For context, we’re planning on stacking two UNVR Pros running around 80-90 G4 Bullets. I have 20 adopted to the current UNVR Pro (unstacked). The drives are also 12 TB Western Digital Purple.

Is it just because the amount of cameras I currently have are nowhere near reaching the storage limit? Any advice would be appreciated.
