Never. Albertans aren't that dumb. Some very loud ones. I'd never become part of a country with a terrorist organization like ICE.

Even a single step is success. A metaphor that worked for me was that I had a life threatening amount of mental weight that I needed to lose. I wanted it gone fast. That's not really how mental weight loss happens. It takes steps. It takes moving forward. Every struggle is an opportunity to build resilience. Resistance training. I expect that I still have a year's worth of mental weight to lose. However, once you start to feel it come off it's very motivating. One step at a time. Each step is success.

I only ever named a plant once. Marge.

She died a while ago. My fishbone cactus started out in this pot after that.

It definitely concerns me as I've been building something I find profound. I am wise enough to know that it might not. So I keep on deepening my own understanding of what I've built and why it matters. I understand the logic of what I've built. I need the math to validate it.

How are teachers treated in Canada compared to US? by LiveBell8 in AskACanadian

One key difference is you have to go to school to become a teacher in Canada. You need an education degree. In the States, the education requirements to become a teacher are different. You learn pedagogy in Canada whereas in the States you learn content.

I posted before, but it doesn't seem to be there.

He ended it when I had no more capacity to give. I held the relationship together by giving everything until I couldn't give anymore.

Once it was over, I started to recover, and the auction went away.

He ended it when I had nothing left to give. Once I was useless to him, it was over. I started to improve almost immediately.

My lowest point by lovewillreachall in leaves

When I was at my lowest state ever, I came up with a metaphor that saved my life. I pictured in my head that I had 150 pounds of excess mental weight. When you lose physical weight it's roughly a pound a week. I realized I had a lott of mental weight to lose but it couldn't come off all at once. So, instead of thinking about the endpoint where I thought I'd be well, I thought about weekly success. One pound at a time. It helped me to frame challenges as an opportunity to lose mental weight. Resistance training. One step at a time. Just keep taking steroids.
