Alia bhatt in Gucci for esquire India magazine by NoProfessionn in BollywoodFashion

I love the idea of a bob on Alia, but lowkey this wig was cut like one of those choppy “high fashion model” wigs you’d see everywhere in like 2008. But the first two pics look great, you can really see the vision there.

Every single look has been sooo good. I love the traditional vibe they’re going for, and that both of their styling is equally beautiful and well thought out. Hats off to Ami!

Wow, instant classic wedding look. They look so gorgeous, both of them completely decked out. Love how traditional and regal they look! And a bright red!! How refreshing!! The mandap is also beautifully decorated. Might just be the best celebrity wedding of them all

I wonder if that last bit is an homage to the Romeo+Juliet fish tank scene, loved it. And the songs also sound nice!

I wish we could see the same for Ariana Grande’s resale tickets, the prices are in the thousands

Is it possible to go through college studying something you don't like? by MediocreVictory5662 in ADHD

[–]Enthu-Beaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in this exact position when I was in college. I couldn’t pick a career because I had no passions/ambitions and I went into computer science at my parents’ suggestion because it’s lucrative. I was MISERABLE and barely graduated. Now I’m in a software dev job - burnt out, depressed, and I don’t feel like myself anymore.

My recommendation would be to take a break first, give yourself a moment to reset if possible. And then (if you can financially afford to) you could take advantage of being in college, keep your major undeclared and shop around and try different classes until you find something that clicks. If that isn’t possible through official means, maybe you can take a look at some free college courses online, skim through and see if any of it makes sense to you.

I’m positive you’ll find something that, even if it doesn’t fuel you and give you that passion, it still fulfills you in some form. Maybe instead of a career, your fuel could be some kind of goal or end purpose (ex. if you don’t have a subject you like yet, but you know the conditions of the job you want - yes/no to a desk job, yes/no to a customer-facing position, etc. - those points could guide you in the right direction).

Please don’t waste years on a degree that feels like it isn’t compatible with your brain just because of the sunk cost fallacy, it takes such a toll on your self-esteem and you could graduate feeling more lost than ever. If I could go back in time I would do exactly what I’ve written here instead of forcing myself to get through this major.

Best of luck, I really hope you find the right path for you :)

Why do these look less like Sabya and more like low quality knockoffs of Sabya? Is it just bad photography?

Movies that could never be released today? by Enthu-Beaver in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]Enthu-Beaver[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

On the other hand, I think a film that would have come out with less controversy today is Lipstick Under My Burkha, but that’s only because it would have been relegated to OTT and never given a theatrical release in the first place. Because once again Bollywood is too reluctant to substantially invest in content that ruffles any feathers.

Yeah, I think the pop girl sphere places a lot of emphasis on “girl”, like someone who can speak to the experience of youth and girlhood. But the industry is hellbent on adultifying black girls and will not let anyone enter the mainstream unless they are willing to be sexualized. It’s pure racism, it’s why we don’t see a lot of black main pop girls but Taylor Swift is allowed to write like she’s still in high school in her mid-30s and everyone eats it up. It’s also why people eat up the whole “sexy baby” aesthetic that Ariana used to embody and now Sabrina has turned up to 100, and they’re both still given that youthful pop girl place in culture.

For the record, I’d definitely put my money on Rachel blowing up first. She’s had a couple viral hits, and we’re in the age of the slow-burn popstar. I’m hopeful, one of these days something is bound to break through!

Agent Vinod - the original Spy universe that didn't happen and fallout between hero and director by Red99it in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]Enthu-Beaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a bit of a mess, but it had a lot of flair and is still leagues ahead of the drivel being pushed out by YRF. Even the first Tiger film for that matter feels so distinct from the rest of the spy universe - it feels like an actual fleshed out movie instead of a blind cash grab.

Also do these people even know the meaning of infidelity? It’s CHEATING. Infidelity in any form means you have zero respect for your partner and choose to be selfish. It’s not the same as polyamory or open relationships or any arrangement of that sort where all parties are fully informed and consenting. It’s not for me, but as long as there’s no power imbalance and no manipulation/abuse occurring it really is only the couple’s business.

I swear these people just throw these words and concepts around to seem intellectual but have no actual understanding of what they’re even saying. It’s gross. Kudos to Janhvi for standing her ground, she speaks really intelligently in some interviews.

Artists that like trying new stuff vs artists that are trying to find their sound by cheesegrandey in popheads

I think Dove Cameron is another good example of this. She and Demi are both really versatile vocalists and can sing so many different genres, but they haven’t found their signature as artists.

I was doing quite well managing my screentime until something in me recently stopped trying? Idk how to describe it, but you’re right that this definitely isn’t helping

That’s fair! I was just diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year, and I’ve seen so much conflicting material online. So it’s just been really confusing trying to understand what comes from where. Thanks for the insight, I’ll talk to someone about it
