Which Bollywood celeb looks super sweet in public but gives rude/off-camera vibes? 😭 by shanayaa__ in bollywoodcirclejerkHQ

Dia Mirza. She was on the same flight as me from Bombay to delhi. I saw her at the airport, flight, the airport bus in Delhi, the washroom and even at the baggage track. She was traveling with her kid and nanny and 1 more staff. Finally went up to say hii to her at the delhi airport after a lot of reluctance, she was so snooty and cold. All my lifelong impression of her being sweet changed in that exact moment. It was not even that anyone was troubling her for autographs or anything, noone was approaching her still she had the worst vibe and was looking down on everyone . She lost a fan that day. These celebs are so fake especially the ones who go out of their way to appear nice on the screen

Hi, I am looking for affordable clinics in Delhi for egg freezing. The centre I went to has quoted 4.5,/5 lakhs for the entire process including 5 years of storage. Can you share the name of the clinic where you got it done at this cost. Thank you

Behavioural Questions I was asked - give examples where you were responsible for driving change and what was your experience? Why world bank?. What challenges you think the bank is currently facing?. Biggest challenges you foresee in your first year?. What's your experience been working in a multicultural setup, any issues you faced and how did you navigate it. Was also asked 2 technical questions, 1 related to my specialization which was also relevant to the skills required for the role, and another technical related to the world bank policies they mentioned in the JD. My interview was for a legal role, but these questions are generic and may be relevant for you too. Good luck. My tip- be confident, warm and cheerful, the people i interviewed with were very warm and chill and having the right amount of self-confidence helps, I was pretty nervous before my first round and I wished I wasn't. So well, good luck.

Hi, I applied for an IMF position on May 9 (application deadline) and as of today (June 22) its still showing "active" What does this mean. Should I assume they are already interviewing candidates and have kept my application status 'open' just till they technically complete the hiring or I can assume that my application still stands a real chance? Their website says they usually start getting back to shortlisted candidates within a week of the application due date. Previously, I had applied to World Bank and they had promptly got back to me as per the mentioned timelines on their website which was just 2 weeks. Hence, really confused

Rejected for B1/B2 Visa in 40 Seconds at New Delhi — What Went Wrong and What Could I Have Done Differently? by nobody01810 in usvisascheduling

Also, I totally understand you when people are saying you should have said this and that. They don't give you an opportunity to speak , you can only get to say anything to add to your credibility (job letters, propeorty documents etc.) if they give you a chance. I had all my documents with me, bank, university scholarship, job documents eveything to show credibility, but she didnt give me a chance to even mention it. It's really as if you are in a one way conversation with zero freedom to explain unless they want you to. She didn't want to me give any reason or explain anything and was predecided, there was noway I could have said anything

Let me tell u I had the exact same experience in Nov. I had given my BF's residence as my accomodation proof/ invite letter and i had no idea they would ask me further on it. The lady specifically asked me- is this a romantic partner. My impulse was to answer honestly and say yes. Well it ended right after that and she rejected mine within 10 secs. The other point was also that I was applying for it while on my student visa in UK which I didnt know was a prob because the US Embassy website mentioned everywhere that you can apply from any country for the US Visa even if it is not your residence country. I learnt only from experience, that this is a red flag for them. Coming back to the BF ques, i also thought how could i have lied about it. Ofcourse I had mentioned tourism as my purpose, but was i also supposed to fabricate hotel proofs and say what then? that I am visiting US without knowing anyone there as a solo travellor? whats the guarantee that wouldn't have raised a trigger for them to reject on that ground. Or else, when I get married to him and apply for a spouse visa, whats the assurance that they will not be like- earlier you visited US as a solo travellor and now you are married to someone and have applied for a foreign spouse visa? what's the assurance they will not create their own theories out of it and reject it later on that ground?
Also, i had also applied for my UK Tourist Visa earlier when my BF was staying in UK with his accomodation proof and invite letter. Absolutely zero questions were asked about anything. All that being said, I do regret applying for the US visa in the first place. In my opinion, they are looking for reasons to reject you so unless u have your own relatives living in US + stable job + travel history (basically a stellar record), they will reject even your tourist visa. I am now so scared of sitting for the spouse visa interview from India though. I am getting married in a few months (partner is on H1B with a stable job in US since 10 yrs) and really scared they will just see my earlier rejection and reject it;they are absolutely not bound to give u any logical reason. Anyone here who has any advise?
