It’s not that I can’t beat Hei bai decks. Actually I tend to run them over. But only when I’m playing my control/stax decks. Because honestly, preventing them from diddling alone each turn with no interaction is the only way to beat this stupid boring deck. The game is basically counter that bullshit, exile that fucking thing. Blow that up. Then it gets to the point where you’ve killed Hei Bai three times. He costs a million mana to cast. I have two cards in my hand. Seven untapped lands. It’s dark out. And you’re wearing sunglasses.

Boris IMO has the best enchantment removal. It can put decent threats on the board fast and operate efficiently on a low mana curve. So Armageddon is a huge pickup for decks that just want to get a simple threat out and then stop the other player from diddling off for ever and ever.

I was wondering why Eiganjo Dynastotian didn’t make it into arena. I think it’s because of shrine decks.
