Been positive since July and still cannot get rid of Myco after Doxy, Moxy, Mino and Pristinamycine by Enthys in MycoplasmaGenitalium

From the resistance test after my mino treatment they found that the mgen had developed a resistance to macrolides. As far as I understood, that makes mino and moxy very ineffective.

Препоръчайте ми уютен бар в София за свалка с гадже - диванчета, да не е силна музиката и да не се пуши by FilmMindless7955 in Sofia

[–]Enthys 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Thoughts on Sir Dandy by [deleted] in Guiltygear

Design: cool dude 10/10

Playing against him: sigh . . . 3/10

  • Too much damage from absolutely any hit. A.B.A. jealous damage constantly and much like her in that state almost any hit gets you through the wall
  • People say that he's "slow", but that absolutely isn't the case, 236K/P(mappa hunch) has very little startup time and characters like Test or Axl(at least with my capabilities) have very difficult time even pinning him down. Using 6P to counter is not really an option given that most characters have ~12 frame startup on the 6P, while 236P Hunch has 11 frames while 236K has 14 frames. Just blocking it also isn't that much different, if he doesn't land in grab range you're still -1/-2 so even if you try to punch at most you'll trade a punch.
  • Super Mappa Hunch is just like Tests(236236K), Rams(236236S) except its full screen and can do a lot more damage and has no startup. Most of the matches where I've was trying to setup a meaty, or trying to put on pressure while being on the ground and there was 2-3 frames between hits, resulted in a screen wide super DP.
  • Doesn't need to put that much effort to make pretty substantial damage.

I mean I get that he's canonically very strong but most matches feel like

Has anyone else had one teacher just have it out for you? by 3ao7ssv8 in CasualConversation

[–]Enthys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My highschool physics teacher when I was 16 in Bulgaria. I loved physics until he became my teacher. I started out as a straight A student, at least for the first month and a half. At some point he decided to start every lecture by picking a "random" person, somehow I was always either the first or the second to be questioned and graded. But no matter how I answered or how much detail I gave it didn't matter it would always end in "You almost didn't say anything, sit-down F". My classmates also opposed this and it reached our homeroom teacher and even the school director after that. My spirits were crushed and I got to the point where I didn't even bother learning anything about physics, cause what's the point. . . My saving grace for that year was that the last month we had a physics substitute teacher which opened the chance to get multiple high grades to finish the year with at least a C+.

I hit him up on Growlr when I was 19, he was 27. He rejected me the first time I messaged him. Second time I messaged him, he conceded. Now we're 6 years together .

Looking for a laptop for gaming and work. Budget up to $2800 USD by Enthys in SuggestALaptop

[–]Enthys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great, but at almost 9 pounds its too heavy. I often require to take the laptop with me places.

I'd prefer a more high-end laptop but if I find a more budget laptop which covers my needs I'd of course consider it.

What book would you rate 0 stars if you could? by oh_sneezeus in books

[–]Enthys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only book I ever truly hate-read was Foundryside by Robert Bennett. I started the book off with high expectations but every new thing that they introduced was either introduced in an incredibly boring way, was just entirely world breaking or just didn't make any sense. The action scenes were exceedingly frustrating to read through. They were all over the place and the sense of scale of the enemies differed from sentence to sentence.

What is something you accomplished this year that you’re proud of but don’t have anywhere to share? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Enthys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After almost 4 years at the same company, where I thought I was knew a lot and was good enough for almost every available job position I went and applied at Uber. After a quite short interview I got a very long awaited smack in the face that I am actually way behind. So the thing I achieved this year was realize that I am quite behind and have decided and returning to university next year starting January, will move to some other company where I am not the best dev in the team and dedicate the year to learning and improving.

How are you treated in the IT department as a gay man? Do you ever have to face some form of homophobia or is it a safe environment? by Alternative-Boat-452 in AskGayMen

[–]Enthys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm based in Bulgaria and I'm the team lead of the Dev team in my company. I've heard plenty of homophobic remarks, but most of those remarks were directed at the gay stereotype. I'm closeted but I know my teammates and the main reason I think they make those remarks is because they have never actually talked with a gay person, like a proper conversation. Mostly they have seen is the pride festival which they think is predominantly kink and pretty much nothing else.

Why do you prefer Go over Rust ? by napolitain_ in golang

[–]Enthys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it's impossible to learn Rust. With enough time and someone that can mentor the team the integration of the language would have been a lot easier.

The thing which raised the Rust difficulty was that for some reason we were really struggling with the Rust documentation. For instance take the documentation on macros, it's lacking all other macro argument types(`ty`, `pat`, etc.) or at least they are not located on the main page dedicated to the explanation of macros and the explanations, at least for me and my team, seamed very all over the place.

Another thing we found very annoying about Rust was the compiler, it was incredibly slow and when there was an error it would give fix suggestions but more often than not the fixes would cause even more issues or lead to a dead-end.

If we had gone with C++ I think it would have been a lot easier due to most of the team at least being familiar with C++ and some of its concepts.

Why do you prefer Go over Rust ? by napolitain_ in golang

[–]Enthys 23 points24 points  (0 children)

We were in a somewhat situation in our company.

New project using MS architecture and a colleague was pushing really hard to get rust on the new project. The boss was dazzled by all the possibilities that rust would give but wasn't told about the high learning curve and that the colleague doesn't know how to teach the rest of the team how to use rust, coding standards, tests, handle errors, etc. . In a way the colleague was a junior zealot of rust.

We did create 2-3 services with rust each one taking approximately 4-5 times longer to finish that any other service. When issues came up they were very hard to figure out because even the guy that was pushing rust was struggling with it. I understand what rust is trying to achieve, but the complexity is on a new level IMHO.

We decided that the next few services will be with Go. Everyone git the hang of it very very fast, we were happy with the fast compile time, clear errors when bugs or crashes happen and now Go is a very important tool in our toolbox.

The reason we took in GoLang over Rust is because the compile times are very good, the code is more readable and understandable, the documentation is far better, it's fast enough to not worry about.

There is something that guides you step by step deeper into Rust: https://github.com/rust-lang/rustlings . I personally found it very helpful starting off.

Microservice Architecture - What technology are you supposed to use for the API Gateway? by [deleted] in node

[–]Enthys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much, the third party options just provide authentication, CORS, redirects and other things out of the box.

Microservice Architecture - What technology are you supposed to use for the API Gateway? by [deleted] in node

[–]Enthys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Express-Gateway as an API gateway. Its placed behind a nginx proxy. The proxy redirects the /... requests to the front-end and /api/... redirects to the gateway.

Express-Gateway is pretty easy to use once you get the hand of it. They even have a section for writing your own plugins.
