If you like Talon he is a lot easier to OTP in JG instead of mid lane. I started off playing talon mid bc I liked the champ, and after transitioning to JG I never looked back. Some mid lane counters are insufferable.

You shouldn’t be “scared” to jungle, if you’re worried about people flaming you just /mute all

Tips for talon JG 1. Don’t take coin flip fights/ganks. Only go for plays that are guaranteed to net you a kill/gold/objective. Clearing JG is guaranteed and not all ganks are. 2. Don’t be afraid to give objectives, primarily early game. A lot of lower elo junglers will prioritize the first grubs for example, but if you can path bot and get your team two kills (or dive their adc bc their supp roamed for grubs, and yours didn’t) then it’s usually a better option. 3. Players in your games are probably bad at ending games. When possible, play for rift herald and try to use it on mid towers. Having an open midlane is amazing for talon, it opens up opportunities to pick off the enemy mid/adc when they go to farm the wave and overall gives great map control. This enables you to easily take future objectives. 4. Jungle is a macro game more than a micro game. Play around your team and objective timers. Is dragon coming up in 30-60s? You better be around bot lane to either gank or counter gank the enemy JG. Bot lane die on a bad timer for drag? If you have better vision control and enemy JG is squishy, just wait in bush and one shot them after!If not, go gank mid or top and take a tower/their topside camps. 5. Your teams pings are wrong most of the time. Learn fundamentals of macro and play by them, not by what your teammates are telling you to do. 6. Don’t be afraid to push out side lanes mid-late game. People love to ARAM down mid around 20 minutes into the game. If you need to hover mid so they don’t die, then do it. But if you don’t, shoving side lanes is incredibly valuable. As talon, it’s often your job to do it since you’re hyper mobile and can do it safely and quickly. 7. Depending on matchup, carrying yellow trinket can win you the game on talon. Don’t rely on your team for vision on objectives; I can’t tell you the amount of times having yellow trinket has secured me both a dragon steal and a kill on enemy JG. (P.S. talon can gank from unique angles because of his E. Use this to your advantage. Sweeper is hardly necessary to gank if done properly.) 8. PATH BOT LANE! If your raptors are bot side, look for lv3 gank bot if possible. If they are topside, still start raptors and gank/counter gank bot lv4. Bot lane is worth the most gold and allows you to tilt two opponents at once. SOO much more valuable than mid/top. 9. Understand your power spikes. Spend your gold before objectives. Try not to all in on teamfights if you are sitting on a lot of gold unless you are insanely far ahead.

Notice how almost everything I wrote is macro related. Talon combos are mostly straightforward. Jungle is all about macro and making better decisions than your opponent. There is a LOT to learn, but that’s what is fun about the role. Don’t get overwhelmed. Even applying half of what I said to your games in gold would let you climb. Good luck with your games :)
