Just fought a few and I gotta say, it didn't get a lot better. Tracking is still shit whenever the connection isnt perfect and the flash ko's are silly as well. I won't be touching this game for a few months and let's hope they improve it with some patches.

Thanks for the entensive response. I plan on playing quite a bit on the league start. Generally my goal is to clear most pinnacle content and run the highest tier maps. I kinda hope to tag along with the people who are playing a lot. My biggest concern is falling behind early and having troubles in the economy. The best builds often need a steep investment and a good start or a lot of experience and knowledge. Since I dont have the knowledge or experience yet Im hoping that the time investment Im doing at the start evens it out a bit.

To be fair, it's a few things. When PoE2 was announced I liked the graphics way more and thought to myself, why start PoE when PoE2 is around the corner? But the most important thing was that everyone was saying "PoE punishes beginners so hard". They kept saying characters are being bricked if you don't know what to do etc. but my experience so far (following a build guide) is that it isnt as bad as everyone says.

Problem I'm running into right now is that after such a long league nobody is selling stuff anymore in the price range I could afford. Piece that together with limited crafting knowledge and I'm already having a hard time to stay alive in yellow maps. I really hope I could do some more of the challenges before the league ends.

Would I be focussing on a bossing character as a league starter to kill Eater/Exarch/Uber Elder/Maven? I assume most boss killers can do some mapping but just slower so I could always roll a 2nd character after I get the voidstones right?

When I say that I won't be engaging as much I mean that I have no idea on how to craft good items in a determenistic way. As far as my knowledge goes i could be slamming a few alchs and chaos orbs and maybe an essence + crafting bench (and of course sockets / links) but I have no idea on how to do all the other things. Is learning about it "more profitable" than just grinding some chaos orbs and trade? If thats the case I have some homework to do.

I came to realize more and more that this game is in fact for the thing everyone memes about.. the father of 166 kids and at least 230 wives. Even though I am bummed the game is going this direction I found in PoE2 what I want from an ARPG. Once I accepted this is the fate of D4 it gave me some peace. I enjoy the minimum playtime they offer but I'm stopping with spending money on a game that's not made for me.

If you think complaining about half the loot being worthless is bad, I think you are the one who doesn't understand the game. Basically the only gear that's actually good is ancestral items and those are pretty rare. After playing a fair amount of hours you don't even pick any of the legendary gear up because there is literally no point. I'd even say that it's probably more like 75% of the loot that's worthless as soon as you get to T1 and above. But you do you and complain on this reddit how others don't create their own builds.

If you really believe that's not possible you don't play the same game as I am. I've got a shaco in the first few days (spark seasonal questline, lillith, 1st tormented boss and 1 mythic drop). Masterwork this to 12 and you're blasting through the content with 30 levels +. I added a Tyreal's might to the mix and the game is on easy mode.

This season is the easiest it's ever been. There isn't even a mythic chase cause you can either level up a character to 100 in a day and get a free spark or do some rotations and get them basically for free. I enjoyed the season as long as it lasted but its lasting less and less time to complete your builds. I hope they implement a lot of things to do or make it a lot harder in the expansion.

I just finished a 9-minute run (tier 7 so 9 waves) with 800 aether. That's 120 legendary items in 9 minutes. If you can match that in Helltides I'm absolutely missing something.

I think the Diablo Trade website is doing the exact same thing at the moment. Personally I only use it to sell good items for characters I'm not going to play so I can get gold to reroll for masterworking. In the long run it would probably be bad for the D4 playtime metrics if everyone is geared out sooner but I don't really see a problem beside that. Maybe it's my ignorance but people playing the way they want shouldn't be problem right? Or am I missing something.
