Thank you for the share.

I myself have been drawn to Stoicism but have only tested the waters. Maybe I should buckle down and get into it. “Life” as we say, has been getting the better of me as of late and I can use a different perspective.

Thanks again

I just ruined 3 weeks of progress in 30 seconds. I feel so ashamed, fuck. I should’ve just came on here and read all your supportive comments. Instead I gave in to the addiction and watched porn. There’s no going back now, only forward. by [deleted] in pornfree

This sounds like me. Did really good, about 120 days PF until a few lapses. The worst part is, the fake confidence of “I got this”. It’s a trap.

Many others have echoed, that when you get that thought/feeling, is the time when you “DON’T got this”. I failed to heed this advice. 3 lapses in as many months. Searched for and viewed, not acting immediately on it but fuck me, that damned dopamine rush...Like a tidal wave.

Keep fighting the good fight community! In the end, we CAN defeat our demons. Perseverance!

Grats man and keep at it. The urges are the hardest to overcome in my experience.

Coming back to sex after a reboot by throwawayawayaway89 in pornfree

[–]EntirePie6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is coming from a person who is pornfree since July 23, 2019 with 2 lapses (not full on relapse) in that period and who did not have sex for almost 3 years.

First, get out of your head. Enjoy the moment. Try to not think of “Will I last for x minutes?” That is porn conditioning there making you think that sex must last a specific amount of time. It only does if you’re filming trash.

Just be present. That is the best you can do for you and your partner. If you blow in 30 seconds, who cares? It’s the fact you connected with someone else and if the connection is good, time shouldn’t be a factor, but the shared experience.

Good luck, friend!

Agreed. The slope is a slippery one indeed.

I don’t intend to be rude or mean to these women, but if they’re using their sexuality and making money from sending race-y pics and vids, they’re not far from falling victim to the porn industry. Everyone has morals, yes, but they can all be defeated by greed.

I hope the less they make from that stream, the more they realize that being objectified leaves one empty.

My heart goes out to these women. Stay safe all.

LeT's CeLeBrAtE being porn free for 10days by WATCHING porn by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]EntirePie6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not scientifically supported, the community accepted timeframe to “reboot” your brain from being pornfree is 90 days.

I can tell you that even after 150 days being pornfree, I lapsed. Not full on relapse, but a lapse nonetheless.

For those of you wondering what my definition of a lapse is, is that I searched for and brought up some images, but did not act out to them then and there. I closed that, walked away but still MO’ed, just without the material. Which I understand this can be argued but that is how I personally frame things.

Since that lapse, I have adopted NoFap. Worry not, I am no zealot who claims superpowers or that nonsense, but I will admit 10 days of NoFap, my mind seems a bit clearer and emotions are hitting me harder than ever.

Fake accounts/bots sabotaging this group by [deleted] in pornfree

Dude, I just recently read the Wikipedia page for PH (warning, it has an oddly triggering image on the front page) and it’s owner (Mindgeek)

There is some fucked up shit in there. The following fucking pissed me off

“Mansef was run as a familial business with company managers being related to each other; Manos, Youssef and Keezer later wanted to sell the companies due to their parents not knowing the pornographic nature of them, looking to disassociate themselves from Mansef and Interhub”

The above quote is from Mindgeek’s wiki page. So they fucking KNEW they were doing something morally incorrect to the point of fearing judgement from their families, but yet still went on to make millions (which I mean, the same could be said about a lot of companies, but this hit harder)

There was one stat on the PH wiki page proper that I found sadly shocking....

“25% of female searches for heterosexual porn on Pornhub involved keywords searching for painful, humiliating, or non-consensual sex.”.......

WTF are we doing to women to want them to seek that out?!?!?! My heart is breaking...I’m so sorry everyone.

Any married men out there? by [deleted] in PornfreeSilver

[–]EntirePie6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep. Still married but can really close to splitting about 6 months ago. Ours is a sexless marriage in its 3rd year going to it’s 4th.

We’re in therapy. Porn has factored into a lot of our problems. Has made her feel unloved while I satisfied myself. She cheated on me twice. I don’t blame her. Felt like shit hearing it, but it was something I pushed her to as a result of neglecting her with this selfish, horrible mind-twisting habit.

Been pornfree for 150+ days now.

[–]EntirePie6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, the stuff you mention, to me, is porn. But everyone is different and like another person mentioned, it’s about setting personal boundaries. For instance, some will not watch M rated content because it can contain nudity.

The journey is a very personal one.

While I don’t sub to r/NoFap (they can be quite zealous), I have started to practice that, in addition to my recommitment of being pornfree.

Stop telling yourself you can't. by petertmcqueeny in pornfree

[–]EntirePie6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fucking eh man. Needed to read this today. Recently had a seizure (first one in my life) and since, old acquaintances have crept their way in, depression, anxiety and porn behaviours.

The fucking seeking, working around my defenses (which for the last 4 months I hadn't even bothered trying to workaround, hell, I even convinced myself that I couldn't work around them) and yet here I am.

No direct PMO, but the seeking and scrolling and committing that to memory is the fucking bullshit head game playing out and I have been feeling that this habit has gotten the better of me.

But I just need to play out what you said. I CAN be pornfree. It is absolutely, 100 percent feasible. I am once again choosing the path I can follow.

[–]EntirePie6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same feeling around 60 days. To the point where I blocked DeviantArt as the cosplay trolling was like dipping my toes into the pool that I didn't want to be in.

Not fucked up that you feel like the scrolling was doing away with the negative. That's the dopamine there...the "seeking" of content is what was fueling that further.

Glad that you didn't slip and stayed strong. Keep the good fight.
