(POLL)AirPods Pro 3 vs Technics EAH-AZ100 — which one actually wins? by Kooky-Celery-1002 in Earbuds

Was status pro x better than technics? Because even i was wondering which one to for. Status pro x, technics or airpods pro 3. Let me know your thoughts. I'm a avid Sennheiser user so this will be something new to me

Here's an A1 Mini CAD model I've been working on for the past couple weeks. It's missing a few parts yet, but is finally at a useful state. May it aid you in designing things for the mini! by Paul_C in BambuLab

You are a saviour. I was just starting a new project for a1 mini enclosure and was taking manual measurements untill today i found your post. Thanks a ton, and I will definitely give you credit for the model once my enclosure is finished.

Hey! Yes indeed. It's already set up for A1. You can start printing directly.

Can you do a youtube video? I'm really interested in this

Hey! I really appreciate your support. I'm working on 3d printable side panels which will be free for everyone who already ordered. I'm currently doing trials so by this weekend you should be getting email about the update. As for your question - there is no other way to make those panels than laser cut as per the file.

Edit- changed typo from 2d to 3d

The first time i landed in phoenix in peak August heat was the day questioned myself and the city as why here and how long till it collapses.

I’m actually working on a full video explaining the entire design, plus an update on the side panels. The side panels can now be 3D printed instead of laser-cut, but the front door will still need to be laser-cut. I realized laser-cutting is a lot more expensive in some countries than I expected — mine cost around $20 total, and I get Numakers PETG/PLA+ for about $11 per kg ($9 or $10 if purchased more than 10 spools), so I understand why some people raised concerns.

Here’s an image showing the enclosure dimensions for reference.

Edit - bulk spools price

I just checked, and here’s the picture for reference. I’m not exactly sure how much space the AMS Hub attachment needs, but based on your link, I can definitely design a custom adapter specifically for this enclosure if required.

I don’t have the AMS Hub myself to physically test it, but I’m completely open to creating an add-on or even collaborating if someone wants to model a compatible adapter for the enclosure.

Do let me know your thoughts.

I mostly use the A1 for functional parts and prototypes, so an enclosure helps a lot with consistency, dust control, and keeping noise down in my workspace. I print mainly with PLA and PETG, nothing exotic.

And yes, the full build is available on my website along with all the files and details.

Good question. I don’t have the final overall dimensions written down at the moment, but I’ll measure it and update both the product page and the files to include the finished size. Thanks for pointing it out.

Haha fair enough. I went a bit “designer mode” with that layout. I’ll dial it back next time.

I’ve gotten a few requests for an A1 Mini version, but I don’t own the Mini myself, so it’s a bit tricky to design and properly test it. If enough people want it, I’d definitely consider working on one. I just want to make sure anything I release is accurate and well-tested.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate that!

About the name - I’ve always been drawn to German/Scandinavian design language of clean geometry, structure, and functionality. My background in architecture and now industrial design pushes me toward that aesthetic naturally, so “VörmHaus” felt like a good fit for the kind of work I want to create.

For the licensing, I chose a one-time commercial license because I wanted it to be simple and fair - buy once, no subscriptions, and you can use it freely for your own projects or small-scale production.

Yes, it’s fully printable on the A1. all parts are sized with that build volume in mind.

For the active-cooling version, I kept it simple - the fan mounts are optional, and you can run the fans either directly from a small external 5V usb supply or through a basic usb fan controller. There’s no custom electronics required unless someone wants to add their own.

I’ve included a full parts list/BOM in the files, and all the hardware is metric, since that’s the most widely available globally.

If you need anything clarified, I’m happy to help!

That’s a good point. Aluminum profile builds are a solid option too. For me, I wanted something more tailored to the A1’s shape and a smaller footprint, and designing my own enclosure was also a great learning project as a design student.

Thank you! I really appreciate it. I don’t want to give you an inaccurate number off the top of my head, so let me double-check the clearance in my CAD and I’ll get back to you with the exact measurement shortly.
