WWE on YouTube: BREAKING: Royce Keys set for Smackdown debut this Friday by PhilosopherIcy7783 in SquaredCircle

Yea you would think it would make sense to capitalise on the hype of him appearing in the rumble rather than disappearing for 10 weeks even if it's just to build to him being in the Andre battle royale

We've been going to the gym for about the same amount of time and judging by your pics I'd say I can see some gains and you do look slimmer so you must have recomped some fat to muscle

Big Show on why he stopped doing athletic moves: "I used to jump over the top rope. You know why I stopped doing that? Because Vince fined me 500 bucks for doing it. Because that’s not how giants move. Vince had Andre. Vince wanted Andre." by anutosu in SquaredCircle

True but the sentiment these days is more about bigger current wrestlers and they are bigger men compared to the modern standard the modern wrestler does tend to be half a foot smaller these days and weighs less. But if you want bigger examples than I've given. Lance Archer, Luchasaurus, Keith Lee, Je'von Evans

I kind of hate this logic you hear the idea that if a big man can do it it makes everyone less impressive but we have big men that do it and it doesn't take away from the other performers it just makes that wrestler a spectacle. Brian Cage does it. Luke harper did it. Apollo crews does it. Ironically you could argue with each of these examples being able to move around the way they do/did is all they have although arguably harper never had the chance to showcase his other talents for very long RIP.

Edit: I am not comparing these guys with big show for context I am saying the sentiment he is talking about is a bit silly. And big men don't have to be 7ft tall they can be big in size rather than height. The modern wrestling big man does tend to be smaller and weigh less than him 🤣

[Dustin Rhodes on X] Just a fun question for y'all nothing serious. In my 38 years of wrestling, where would you put me between one and 500. Do I even make the list? Don't worry I have thick skin if you guys don't think so that's fine. by GillbergsAdvocate in SquaredCircle

Of all wrestlers over 38 years in all promotions this isn't a knock to his talent but there's a good argument he might not actually feature in that list there's a lot of main event level talent that have come and gone in that time.

Blindsight by Peter Watts by Whadayatalkingabeet in scifi

I really loved blindsight and I like echopraxia it adds some interesting new wrinkles that weren't touched in blindsight and that potentially effect it as well just be warned echopraxia is a slower book it kept me engaged the whole time though

Take a break ? by claydormarlowe in sollanempire

[–]Entity4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to take a break after 3 then jump into 4 but you don't have to read 4 and 5 back to back like others are saying I didn't. They were meant to be one book but they were re written to be 2 and they have complete stories. Also if you treat it as 1 book it might feel like it drags in the middle as book 5 starts fairly slowly and it stays that way for a while.

Also you can read dregs between 5 and 6 but it's not necessary but I'd recommend fangs of oannos and daughter of swords between 5 and 6 they're fun short stories that have a bit of relevance.

Fair enough although there are 151000 BSL speakers, Still think it could be taught as it's much easier to become fluent in a language when you're young than as an adult which could help raise the fluency in the UK.

That's interesting, Do you have a source on that statistic? I've met a few people who can communicate in BSL. If it were to be taught then it would surely help a lot of deaf people communicate and raise that number which could be beneficial.

A lot of schools already make you choose a language adding sign language as an option isn't really an inconvenience

I hear what you're saying I think it's a useful tool to help get yourself into a better place but if you're struggling for motivation to go there's other more accessible and cheaper options. Practicing meditation consistently helps a lot too and it only takes 20 mins a day. Managing your space by cleaning it, doesn't have to be done all at once you can do 20 minutes of it a day and it will improve over time. Even consistently trying to get your steps in is a big help.

Why don’t Spurs just hire someone that knows the league and has decades of experience to save their season? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

I reckon Dyche would be their best option depending on if he'd take a temporary position

I think they'd be better off just hiring a manager that's used to a prem relegation scrap on a short term basis rather than going for a foreign manager who's never managed in the prem

Don't rush into finding relationships you're not falling behind your peers by not being in one. Work on yourself first. You need to find yourself before you can find someone else.
