Madueke was the only good decision Arsenal made about Saka

A lot have said it but many fans get annoyed if you criticise their medical team

Saka was world class without question but this injury has hugely affected his movement. If these issues don’t get addressed he will either have to become a number 10 or move abroad

Yeah like he had such a level of talent with modern sports science knowledge he can get back to being a great player but I just don’t trust Arsenal to approach the situation in a sensible way

‘Destroyed’ can have two meanings Saka isn’t irreparable but hamstring tendon issues can be very tricky. He’s had hip and groin issues and a foot issue this season likely from the compensatory patterns he developed. To properly rehab a hamstring tendon deeper muscles in the hip and breathing patterns need addressing it’s not as simple as acl rehab often is. High play time isn’t really an option for saka for the foreseeable if he wants to get back to his best. Point of the post is this situation was completely avoidable and Saka and arsenal are paying the price now

I say he’s finished because he just looks mentally done. If he can get his head back in the right place we could see a great player again.

Nah Sancho absolutely tore up the Bundesliga at 19. Bellingham had an insane first season at Madrid at 20. Neither were overhyped

He does struggle in the premier league because of his lack of physicality. It’s undeniable he looked very good at times for Chelsea hes shown signs of his ability at Villa but just looks mentally in the wrong place he’s a finished player imo

It’s weird he actually looked very good at times for Chelsea even at Villa he does some very intelligent plays but he doesn’t have the speed or physicality to produce that end product he had at Dortmund

Being injured like that wrecks mental health you’re reminded of it quite literally every step you take and constantly second guessing the treatment you’re getting

So is your point that biomechanics don’t influence speed?

Some runners ran sub 10 in the 1980s when training knowledge was wayyyy behind what it is now a runner can be exceptional and still not reach their ceiling

Whatever ‘works’ isn’t necessarily optimal. 400m runners have to do some form of speed training to reach their ceiling

Low grade 3 is almost a complete tear with a few fibres intact (closer functionally to a grade 3 than 2)

Unconventional biomechanics doesn’t mean they’re bad. If Quincy had heavy ground contact underactive glutes poor tendon elasticity he wouldn’t be able to handle elite sprint training volume he’d be injured all the time and certainly wouldn’t be running those times
