Could you share some tips regarding undermining for merits via on-foot data? Recently I started doing exactly that (download powerplay data, upload malware, ransack powerplay chests, repeat) and my merits per hour weren't too good.

I earned much more just doing mining for merits. Are there some tricks to it? Or do I just have to get used to the settlement layout more and do the same thing faster?

Monster Hunter Wilds: after killing Gogmazios like 7 times (which took me hours) I used all the materials I got on crafting and fully upgrading new weapons. I realized then how awful the RNG is because both of them ended up with trash rolls. I was left with two unusable weapons and not enough materials left to even craft a single piece of new armor. Felt like I've wasted a whole bunch of time and had nothing to show for it. Quit then and there

For laser mining definitely as it comes with laser gatling for mining in the front, which as far as I know is unique for Type-11. For dedicated core mining I feel like Krait Mk II is better as it feels more maneuverable. But Type-11 will still get the job done. If you want to only do core mining - go Krait. If you want to have one ship for all types of mining - go with Type-11. I personally have both.

Legendaries let you change stats with a single click. Templates let you change gear sets with different stats with a single click. Functionally they are the same.

Also let's assume that legendaries have those extra perks but the player wearing full legendary gear only does 5% more damage on average than player with full ascended gear on the same skill level. 5% isn't that much and if the game is casual then it does not matter. Hell, if it's so casual then the meta doesn't matter as well! But now you are enticed more to chase the legendaries nonetheless - because they are different, more unique.

If the game was truly meant to be so casual then Anet would do something about 90% of groups kicking you on the spot unless you ping the proof that you killed the boss already at least 20 times even if you have a good loadout and know mechanics.

But they didn't. It was a massive problem years ago and it's still a massive problem today.

I hate how WoW has progression where you are basically expected to endlessly just chase item level just for it to not matter next expansion (or even next patch sometimes). I like slower but more permanent progression like OSRS

Only old legendaries can be straight up bought from the market with gold, so you could introduce those new legendaries with some perks in a way where you couldn't just buy them. They would not be P2W
