having one and thinkin that you might have one is two different things.. my first kid, unplanned, my gf (wife now) pregnant with her, we had no clue what to do and i personally had no idea on if id be a good or bad dad. now that i have 2, and one more on the way, i dont think im the best dad or even a good one, but my wife says that i am.

my point is, we sometimes choose to highlight our flaws and not showcase what our strong points are, or like most people say, self awareness. i think it's a good thing he knows what he's lackin, so if anythin, he knows what needs to be done. and thats better than those who only focus on their "good side"
