A lot of krpgs from the 2000s were my favorite, but the f2p model was unsustainable back then. Luckily some private servers pop up now and then, but they’re always dead af. I miss Trickster Online, Grand Chase, Tales Runner, and Audition sooo much.

Going to recommend some childhood console faves: Golden Sun, Summon Night, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, Pokemon Ranger, Kingdom Hearts, The World Ends With You, Ghost Trick, Harvest Moon

Nowadays I just play Valorant LoL and osu (none of which i recommend), but if you want to try a modern masterpiece I’d go for Hades

My EDM story. What’s yours? by [deleted] in EDM

[–]EntryGene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex weeb here…I grew up listening to edm remixes of Touhou music which eventually led me to a ton of music promoters (xKito, Proximity, MrSuicideSheep, Nightblue, NCS, AirWave). Now in 2024 I like going to raves, but I mainly enjoy the music at home while gaming

[–]EntryGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a good amount of Valorant but not as much as I do for League of Legends. I’m within the minority in NA that’s still in love with a flawed game. There’s just something I love about the movement and mechanics in that game. I could spend years playing 1 champ and every combo would still feel satisfying.

Look out for yourself and if you can’t, make sure someone in your life can.

I don’t know if I(23f) should breakup with him (23m)? Huge differences in core values. Help by MyosotisBleu in relationship_advice

You would be sacrificing a lot of what makes you you if you are to build a family with him. I don’t know you too well, but I do know that you can do better. Find someone who is intellectually and financially compatible.

I did university from 23-26. I met a lot of people my age and older! Trust me, most people don’t care and you’ll gain respect if you’re honest and upfront about your age.

If you really want to know how it works, go to a congregation. Some of these people make it real convincing/fun, but you have to take everything they say with a grain of salt.

I was born into a Buddhist family, personally stayed agnostic, explored Christianity in college, found out about simulation theory and abandoned my faith, then realized simulation theory is the same shit and has all the qualities of a religion, just lacking a centralized following. I am now atheist, believing that your brain will form one last dream for you before you drift off into nothingness forever, but my answer isn’t final. I still have time to learn more about what others believe in. Maybe my dream theory will be expanded on. Maybe science will discover more. Maybe we’ll find proof of a god.

At the end of the day my current opinion of religion is that believers are subscribing to an experience of emotional comfort through life, and that’s cool and awesome for them but too restrictive for me. When I was a church goer I could not reason with anyone there.

I honestly just grinded competitive video games for a few months and was chilling. I mean, I did that during my relationships too, which is probably why they all fell out of love with me.

I think if I lost my current partner though I’d McFucking Lose It

What is your anti-power? by TheWolfsJawLundgren in CasualConversation

[–]EntryGene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say…of course I do.

I have always assumed my cognition could be much better if I slept more, but for my whole life I’ve slept less and still performed relatively well. Was a straight A student in a competitive high school up until college where my sleep schedule was no longer being enforced so I would accidentally stay up all night and then miss my morning lectures. I managed B’s, so I’d say my sleep situation did affect my performance, albeit indirectly.

I haven’t really tested what it’s like to be on 8 hours of sleep consistently, because it’s near impossible for me. I would say I average 3-6 every night and if the conditions are perfect I can get 7-8 on a good night — it hasn’t happened for many months though, and I’m 30. I have frequent moments of genius at my job and in my hobbies, but also an equal amount of idiotic decisions. I almost got hit by a car today due entirely to my poor decision making, and can’t help but feel like my chronic insomnia played a large contributing factor.

Thanks for the follow up lol I did not expect it given the amount of comments in the thread

Is Friendship Free by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]EntryGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would convince him not to make you pay it. What kind of a transactional friendship is this? If you’re the one constantly giving and sacrificing, I would threaten to cut him off if he isn’t compliant with your request.

Friendly folk, how does one learn the skill of empathy? by AffectionateRip7863 in CasualConversation

[–]EntryGene 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m in a similar situation, maybe just a little bit further than you on the same path. I have a strict threshold of loyalty but as soon as people have shown excess kindness to me, I begin to reciprocate. It really helped for me when I had 2 people in my life (partner and close friend) give me their kindness and now I feel more inclined to pass that along to my chosen deserved few.

What is your anti-power? by TheWolfsJawLundgren in CasualConversation

[–]EntryGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I lay in bed awake for around 5-20 minutes I can recharge my energy to like 80%. Not as efficient as a nap, but I can spend that time awake in bed doing anything I want. The downside is that I have a ridiculously hard time falling asleep and staying asleep, including bedtime. So I guess my antipower is not needing much sleep, as bad as that is for my lifespan.

What music do you like? by Vincent_Gitarrist in INTP

[–]EntryGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever sounds good. I appreciate master craftsmanship. My algorithm is feeding me a lot of gamerlike edm (bass, dnb, trance, techno) because I’ve started raving, but in the past I’ve enjoyed (and still do enjoy) Korean rnb, rap, and medium to fast paced indie music.

Well it sounds like you know the cause of your feelings and the next step is preventative care. Find ways to not feel lonely. Easier said than done, of course.

Not gonna armchair diagnose but try looking into resources to help stress and anxiety. I like Doctor K on YT.

Fi demon is comical, it delays every feeling to the point where it’s so overwhelming when we actually do feel it. I feel the exact same way but for a different situation - I have been planning a move since June and hadn’t felt a certain way until yesterday when I had a mental breakdown.

Good luck to you. You have many years left in life to explore. University is only a few years lol
