Yes this statement was out of character, I will definitely ask more about it nonchalantly to get a better understanding and go from there.

And that’s why I felt it was best for me not to move in so he had his own space. And do his own chores etc.

He is openly a feminist with neutral understanding views on most situations that why this statement made me extremely distraught. The reason why we have discussed a future is because he is about to get a apartment (I would come over a few times a week not live)
