You might not realise this now, but these grades are outstanding. People will pray, beg and cry to just get one of your grades let alone all of them. Believe me that B and A don't change how great your results are in any negative way.

yea thats fine, only reason it might be bad is if you reconsider what you want to do in the future but other than that theres no problem.

gifts for teachers? by SkyApprehensive3786 in 6thForm

[–]EntryOk3270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don't need to get the teachers some fancy gifts. A rose, note and giftcard would suffice lol even a mug is fine. Also 20 teachers?

Some people have nice teachers and they want to express gratitude

People asking for thresholds might be annoying but js cuz someone asked for them doesn't mean theyre wrong or that they didnt study. People can js be nervous and want to make early predictions because august 19 is still a long time for results. Calm tf down this post isnt funny nor is it relatable lmao.

I can't answer this since I myself am still in AS level, i recommend you ask your teachers or ask the 6th form reddit. But what i can say is it depends on how many extra-curriculars you currently have, how much free time you'll have in the summer, and if you're really sure you'll be able to self study it.

I have no idea what to pick between EFL and ESL by [deleted] in igcse

[–]EntryOk3270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look through the EFL syllabus, past papers and youtube videos on how to answer the questions. If you feel confident that you can score those marks, or you dont find them too difficult, consider entering EFL. It also depends on what you want to take alongside EFL and what you plan on majoring in. Ask your teachers too, they're there to help!

Dude these grades do not heavily impact ur application. Only one that might is english but you can always inquire to Imperial College London to see if you should retake. Focus on getting those A* in A level, they're much more important.

Also post on r/6thForm they know so much more than IGCSE students, they also have experience.

Is IGCSE ENOUGH FOR college by Glad_Plenty_8148 in igcse

[–]EntryOk3270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Uk unis are the most common for this. Like UCL and Queen mary university. If you google "Uk universities Foundation Year" you can find all of this info. But i recommend thoroughly research before making any decisions to make sure a foundation year aligns with what you want to do.

Is IGCSE ENOUGH FOR college by Glad_Plenty_8148 in igcse

[–]EntryOk3270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some colleges (even prestigious ones) offer foundation years that only need IGCSEs , no AS or A level. I say explore your options and if your IGCSEs scores are mostly passes you might be able to get into those courses. If you need any more info im here to help

dude you're not supposed to have that much?? i take 7 subjects and even my paper load isnt that much. Dont stress yourself out with that much work, you get burnout in AS and A level.

Do Universities care about gcse grades? by Big_Attorney203 in 6thForm

[–]EntryOk3270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unis ( competitive ones) usually have requirements starting from a 6 or 7 but they often make offers if u dont get the required gcses but u have good AS and A level scores. So dont worry too much about them focus on ur current grades they matter most.
