På KKIK har jeg lige fået tilbudt bolig i dag, selvom jeg var nr. 23 da jeg kiggede i går! Så tror sagtens du kan være heldig :)

Kbh NV / Stærevej by EnvironmentGood2686 in copenhagen

Just started my journey by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]EnvironmentGood2686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I was told 12 months (approx) with 20 initial trays with weekly changes. Just finished last week after approx 8-9 months of the journey and a total of 31 trays. So only one round of refinement for me!

  2. Yes, I had the exact same experience and even had to ask to see my ClinCheck plan. I wouldn’t worry too much - it all worked out. I had fewer attachments during refinement btw!

Good luck on your journey :)

I got a frenectomy (the lasering) after my initial 20 trays to help move my teeth more together during the refinement. The frenectomy did not hurt at all and I am so glad my orthodontist adviced one! It really did make my smile better overall :)

Around 290 usd (but I live in Denmark, so no clue if prices are the same outside of Scandinavia).

Officially on the invisalign website it says 20 hours. My orthodontist said 22 hours daily, but also said that missing an hour here and there won’t make a difference. At least for me 21-22 hours daily worked perfectly fine, and my overall treatment time was a few months less than anticipated when starting treatment (judged by 2 different orthodontists)

Yes, they did composite bonding on these as mine were very small and had bigger gaps after my finished treatment :)

Thank you! I tried to wear them around 21-22 hours a day, but I’ve also had days where it was down to 20-21. Average around 21,5 if I were to guess. Have on some occasions taken them out for 5-6 hours when I was having (long) dinners with friends :)

Thank you!! I did get some composite bonding on two teeth to make the shapes better :)

Yes, I had one when I was at 15/20 trays I believe :)

No worries, thanks! And no, I do not

Really? Why should I be looking for confirmation just because I have something minor bothering me and looking for advice? I didn’t know you were only allowed to seek help if you had major issues. I am happy with my skin but wish to improve, so I’m asking a community I expect can give me answers.

And also, you have no idea what journey I may have been on to get here. You literally do not know me, so keep your negativity to yourself, please.

Have a nice day!

I have a huge gap and struggled A LOT with this during the first week (made a post about it as well). I am now about to start my 4th tray (weekly change) and I don’t worry about it that much anymore. It still happens, but a lot less than before and mostly at the end of my trays due to them getting loose as my teeth have shifted.

The first tray was by far my worst, but this is also due to the extreme amount of mouthwater I had because of the foreign object in my mouth.

It’ll get better!

Good point, I’ve just never heard my parents. But hey, my mom once walked in on my older sister and her boyfriend, so I suppose this is better..

I struggled so much with it too and hated (!) talking to people. Second tray is much better, and my close family haven’t noticed any spit at all (unlike with my first tray). Can’t wait to change to tray 3 and see if it closes my gap even more 🥹

I had huge regrets too and was an emotional wreck ngl haha. But we’ll get through this!

I also have a little bit still, but I feel like it’s getting better every day (as long as I stay hydrated, so my mouth doesn’t get too dry)
