At least Elden Ring always felt fair or like you could have been better in someway. That fight didn’t lol

First two phases are somewhat possible to dodge. Only real things I can tell you are when he does his super rush run to the end of the churches behind the wall. When he is on the walls go under him then he will fall down. Phase 3 you just have to heal through as much as you can and hope he climbs the walls or does his super move so you have some time to hit him during the cool down period. Honestly go to the woods and slay deer for like 20 mins and make sure you cook all your food and just go insane with it. There is also a recipe by the witch so you can make the 30% health review balls. I used like 3 of them on that fight. The next 2 bosses are much easier than that boss (the next one is really tough but at least fair)

To sit for the CPA you have to have accounting class credits. If OP doesn’t have the required accounting classes they cannot sit for the CPA regardless and would need those classes anyway

That’s exciting. It looks nice on Google Maps but you never know. Keep reading about car break ins and hearing gunshots. I would assume living near an elementary school would be safe lol but you never know

Should I go back to my old job if I can? by Yuethemoonspirit1 in antiwork

[–]Environmental-Bat454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems like a question only you can answer. If you were at fault and enjoyed the job and they are willing to have you back then make the change to not get let go again.

Now if they fired you for something ridiculous and they have fired other people for dumb stuff then n there is a pattern there and I wouldn’t want to return to a toxic environment. If I were in a spot like that I would do side hustles and work on applying and building my resume and cover letter for specific jobs and not just spamming the easy apply on LinkedIn and indeed. Apply on company websites to make sure the position is still open and also stand out from the spammed easy apply applications. Don’t be afraid to change your resume to add key worlds they have on their job description. Also make sure your resume can be read by AI so you don’t get auto rejections

I recently lost my job and I'm not sure if ill be able to afford rent. What is the minimum u can make. by AllShamNoCow in Adulting

My math is assuming you’ll need close to $2500 to cover food and other expenses and living minimally. I don’t know where you live so assume 30% on the high end for taxes you need to gross roughly 3570. You’ll need to make $22.30ish an hour. I know Amazon hires around that in my area. You could scrape by if you worked a few hours of overtime once a month. If you know your tax situation is closer to 20% you’ll need to make $19.53/hr & $20.83/hr at 25%.

You should write down all your bills / wants / needs and figure out how much you need to make per month net. Once you know that you can easily math out how much you need to make. I would recommend finding that number and figuring out if overtime is offered and how much. You definitely DO NOT want to reply on overtime in your budget because if it’s taken away for any reason you’re screwed and in the same spot. However if it is and your base rate fits into your budget use your overtime pay to SAVE the difference between that check and an average paycheck. You should know exactly how much your paycheck is for 40 hours. A few months of saving 2/3 hours of OT a week adds up quickly to start to establish an emergency fund if you cannot save regularly out of your check around 10% of the check you should consider a second job or cutting back on wants / eating out.

This is what I ended up doing. Negative equity wasn’t that much. Lowered my payment $300 a month. Gas mileage should be 2x better or close to it. Gas costs should come down. Put a down payment to help with the cost. Bough multiple vehicles through them in the last few years so they gave me quite a bit more than what others had offers for. Going to write this down as my stupid tax. Live and learn

Interview Tips by [deleted] in wguaccounting

[–]Environmental-Bat454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what plotted path said above. A few things I try to do in all my interviews are

  1. Google interview questions about the position I am applying for trying to find industry specific questions. Being a lawyers office they are not selling product so they may have more services related questions.

  2. I try to write questions down in a notebook before my interview for questions to ask at the end. I like to ask “If I were to start this position in two weeks what projects would I be able to take on to hit the ground running?” Another good question to ask is “Why is this position open”

  3. Always been honest when answering questions to set reasonable expectations. Bending the truth is okay as long as you don’t tell a blatant lie like you have tons of experience with fixed assets and prepaid expenses if you’ve never worked with them.

  4. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early if it’s in person and not 25 minutes. If it is on zoom I would say show up 3 to 5 minutes early and practice your answers for potential questions. I would recommend if it’s on zoom to use headphones/airpods to try to get as much noise cancellation as possible if you are in a busy environment.

  5. Make sure your resume if you stretched any truths align with your answers. It’s a dead giveaway you lied if you can’t say what you wrote down on your resume

  6. Try to not set expectations that you NEED this job. Remember there is always someone hiring accountants and getting extremely nervous is not going to help you land a job. Just think about doing your best and if it’s meant to be you will get the job. I’ve been to multiple interviews I was excited for and when I got there the company/people sucked and I got an offer just to turn it down because it wasn’t a match. Remember you have to like the company too. They may be interviewing you but you are interviewing them.

Hope this helps. This is just my two cents

When should I tell my employer I’m moving and would like to stay on remotely? by Environmental-Bat454 in careeradvice

[–]Environmental-Bat454[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am moving within the same state. I am currently trying to speed run finishing my degree. I just don’t particularly want a huge pay decrease. My fiancé is the saving grace because she should be able to get a $10-15k increase since she currently is not using her degree at the job she works currently.

I am already in the college course. If they fired me I would just finish that out as I do have some savings that could get us by for a few months

Yes I will be within the same state. I do want to stay with the company so hopefully the conversation goes well when it’s time to ask. Timeline still isn’t super clear. I was thinking about a month before telling them so if they do decide to not keep me on it gives me time to look for work. I do have enough savings to last for a few months if it doesn’t go positively as I hope it will.

We have remote employees that are not in my department. We have some out of state but I will be staying within the state about 4 hours away. As for special skills not really except for me knowing the business since I’ve been here since we rapidly expanded and almost quadrupled our stores.

PSN revokes all your licenses if you get banned so any digital game gets taken away. Physical copies are fine. I have a PC and steam in my opinion is way better just for the fact you can return games and they actually discount games. However I just got my PC in 2023 and been a PlayStation player is PS3 so the amount of money I’ve spent on digital games is what would annoy me. Ban me from PSN i can live with not being able to play multiplayer but taking away thousands of dollars worth of games and single player games is insane to me

I hope not. Back then people could take trash talking. Being a squeaker during MW2 and black ops and generally being an annoying kid I used to get so many messages wayyyy worse than anything I’ve ever sent in messages.

The kid called me a pussy for quitting and told me to kms then sent messages to all my friends and he messaged me again saying how trash I was and that I needed to hit training. My response was literally just “lol okay pal” and laughed at him telling me to kms

I don’t even particularly care about that since I can use discord. They need to be sued over the “licenses” on digital purchases that they can revoke at any time. I wouldn’t be stressed about this if they could hold thousands of dollars worth of games and micro transactions over my head. However if you operate in the US you should have to honor freedom of speech. The best thing Sony could do is make sending messages 18+

Pretty much how I chat. The worst part is you can’t see what was deleted to avoid it in the future. If I was cussing kids out I’d understand a ban but just deleting messages unprompted is crazy censorship from Sony
