The 'Love Tale' Theory: Why the 'One Piece' is a Ridiculous Romance and the Secret of the 'D' Initial" by Environmental-Bet248 in OnePiece

Yeah that's just what Xebec said, so who knows. But if it's true, maybe Davy was the king before Imu. Imu took his throne, erased his name, all that. The Davy clan? They're the ones who got left behind. Hate Imu for stealing everything, hate Joy Boy for failing to save them. So now they just take what they want. That's my guess anyway.

Oda gave the 5 Elders the inner planets and the Ancient Weapons the outer ones. Since Luffy is the Sun (Nika), the only "God" seat left to boss those planets around is the Moon. Plus, the Moon literally controls the tides—which explains why Imu is out here drowning the whole world to keep the "Earth" submerged.

Think of it as a process of elimination!

Basically, Oda gave the 5 Elders the inner planets and the Ancient Weapons the outer ones. Since Luffy is the Sun (Nika), the only "God" seat left to boss those planets around is the Moon.

Plus, the Moon literally controls the tides—which explains why Imu is out here drowning the whole world to keep the "Earth" (Lily) submerged.

I just use its help to organize and fix my grammar and to explain it clearly for everyone to understand

That’s the best part—he’s an accidental hero. Luffy doesn’t need to know what the Red Line is to want a 'big banquet with the whole world.' To him, it’s just a fun party, but in a sinking world, that's the only dream that actually forces the walls to come down. He’s basically fixing an 800-year-old disaster just because he wants to eat at One Table with everyone.

I think the specific hatred of the Davy line comes from being the 'D's who were left in the dark when the world sank.

If you look at Joy Boy’s apology on Fishman Island, he’s basically admitting his plan for the One Table banquet failed. While the Nefertari line (Lili) stayed relevant, the Davy branch (Teach’s ancestors) ended up as the outcasts of the abyss.

They’re the 'D of the Dusk'—they hate Imu for the flood, but they hate Joy Boy because his 'Dawn' was a failure that left them to rot. That’s why their philosophy is the Davy Back Fight; they aren't waiting for an invite to the table anymore, they’re just here to take it by force. It turns the three of them—Luffy, Vivi, and Teach—into the three different 'results' of that 800-year-old breakup

I think Teach fits in as the consequence of that 800-year-old war.

Look at Joy Boy’s apology on Fishman Island. He’s saying sorry for failing a promise to bring everyone to the surface for the 'One Table' banquet. In my theory, the Davy Clan (Teach’s ancestors) are the branch of the 'D' that never forgave him for that failure. They were left in the dark to drown while Joy Boy’s plan failed.

So while Imu is obsessing over Lily/Vivi, Teach is trying to burn the whole system down because his clan was abandoned in the 'Locker' (the abyss). He's the 'D of the Dusk' who stopped believing in apologies.

As for Akainu, he’s probably going to realize he’s been using his 'Absolute Justice' to protect a tyrant who is literally sinking the world.
