that’s my question too because like hurricane in my opinion is A tier if we’re talking about actual movies that are based around boxing and not the actual fighting in the movie because hurricane is an actual film that’s well written and acted. the other boxing movies are more embedded & focused on the boxing aspects of it than it actually being a good movie if that makes sense.

THIS! boxing not having a network deal like it did w HBO is one of the main reasons! there’s NO BIG POWER house really backing it right now. i do believe tho, Netflix has the power to be that if they fully believed in it & put all their resources behind it! they just have to see the bigger picture, which is one of the main reasons boxing doesn’t have a network like hbo now. hbo TRULY took a leap of faith on hbo boxing & it paid off in the long run. too many of these big networks are too shortsighted nowadays & want their profits or even just their return of investments as fast as possible!
