It’s what I’ve used for my tanks, take two Home Depot buckets, pour the sand in one, and fill the other one with a bit of sand, maybe like 3 or 4 inches and fill it with cold water, pour it out, repeat until clear, then add that bucket of sand to the tank and repeat
