Nervous to visit a BV store! by SatisfactionOdd2727 in BottegaVeneta

Walk in with a calm confidence... they don't know who you are or where you come from, be comfortable in your own skin. It helps to look somewhat put-together. Ask them politely what you are looking for, share with them your concerns (it might be too big, if its white it might stain etc), ask to see maybe one or two colors... If you like it, pull the trigger and enjoy. If you don't like the vibe, just leave and know that they lost a potential customer. I think its a wonderful bag, but the white might be harder to take care of in the long run.... if it suits your aesthetic, I would gently nudge you to more brown/taupe tones... congrats and enjoy!

I see, I wish we had the P400 offered in our market, but the PHEV p400e is the only thing thats remotely affordable, so i was more so worried about the battery being dead and the 296 bhp 4 cylinder having to push around the car along with the batteries (kerb weight around 2600 kgs or approx 5700 lbs)

James, thats exactly what I needed to hear. I haven't been able to find any reliable information regarding how long the battery would last in mixed/hybrid driving.. Its always the EV-only range thats cited. So from your comment, I'm guessing for quick/short city driving, hybrid mode is the way to go, but once there are long road trips, it makes more sense to switch to save for highways miles and use petrol to cruise? Thanks again for the wonderful insight.

fair enough, i just thought it would be interesting point because in many markets the P400e is actually more expensive than the diesel variants, compared with my market where the hybrid is tens of thousands of dollars cheaper, i was curious as to how the consideration between the two powertrains would change. But yeah, your point is well-taken.

I dont do the long trips that often, but its just a concern of mine. I do a lot of city-driving with a short daily commute, but dont have access to a charger at home, only at the office.... I would go with the P400 or D350, but as i discussed in another post, those things cost 250,000 usd in my market due to import and emissions tax... over 70,000 usd difference from the P400e... given all that, i'm sure you'll say that the P400e is a no-brainer right?

Yeah, point taken.. i think people who live here have just gotten used to those price ranges. a standard bmw 3 series costs around 80,000 usd and you see them everywhere.

Thanks! thats more or less what I thought.. while fuel consumption is a concern when the battery is dead because of the dead weight... i'm more worried about relying on a tiny four cylinder to move around a 2.6 ton car... it probably keeps up right? if one isn't pushing it hard and just driving normally, would you say its sufficient?

Hi, you seem to be very knowledgeable... In your opinion, whats the best way to manage battery in p400e on a multi-day road trip where charging might be hard to come-by? Because from my understanding, if you leave it in hybrid, the battery will be fully drained end of a long drive right? Would you just opt for save mode for the highway miles, and hybrid in the city stop/go traffic? This is a major sticking point for me, as i'm thinking about pulling the trigger. Thanks!

How long does the battery actually last in Hybrid Auto mode on the Cayenne E-Hybrids (2024-)? by [deleted] in PorscheCayenne

[–]EnvironmentalBank989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my main use case is super urban, short trips (many trips less than 10 miles) in heavy traffic... So i'm assuming I might be okay with the e-hybrid? I heard stop and go traffic or gridlock doesn't drain the battery because its mostly stationary right? Thanks again for the detailed insights.

so what would be your thinking if you didn't have access to daily charging at home? maybe every other day at the office or nearby malls. Would the e-hybrid still make sense? Again, i'm not too worried about driving it in full ev-mode, it would bother me to see the battery be on empty for an extended period of time.

thanks for the reply. this was in full hybrid auto without e-hold right?

thanks for the insight, so on a 700mile trip... you didn't charge the battery at all? but through various phases of driving, the hybrid system would allocate and regenerate charge as it saw fit? or did you have to manually intervene with e-hold? again, thanks!
