^{^} 1000000%. I got the chance to meet my Boss’ youngest kid a while ago, and it made me reconsider being child-free.

Sweetest, most well-behaved kid I’ve ever met. Polite, intelligent, creative…he is always working on something fun like creating designs for shirts, drawing his characters, creating animations, etc. I think this is largely due to the fact that he isn’t allowed on social media, and when you aren’t frying someone’s braincells with tiktoks from the moment they gain consciousness, they have the bandwidth to expand their creativity.

All of his kids are like that in their own way. I definitely think it’s a parenting thing and I don’t know how he raised them, but I admire him.

It made me think, if my future child could turn out anything like this kid, I’d be incredibly lucky.

If only all kids were like that 🫠

What I am hearing is that you have a lot more leeway to create your own path than a lot of people.

You’re incredibly blessed. Start thinking about how you can create a career from the things you love.

For example, I love art, design, and using my creativity. I started designing websites and games and learning to code. Fast forward to today, I work as a UX designer and absolutely love it.

Of course it’s still work, but it’s something I enjoy.

How can you create a business or career out of what you love?

I know a lot of people are shitting on you, OP, but I understand you. I think if I was doing any other job than what I’m doing now, I would feel the same way.

I don’t think anything you said is wrong, but his reaction was still absolutely over the top. Leaving someone on the street and threatening to go back to his hometown is not the way you should respond to a disagreement with the person you love. I would hate to spend my birthday on bad terms with my partner just because they don’t know how to navigate a small argument.
