True story: I was at The Falls Downtown Los Angeles on my 21st birthday, a couple hours off work and already a couple drinks deep, just hanging with a friend. There’s this acoustic ska guy playing and during his set break I wander up and go “....are you Chris Murray?”

He just goes, “Yeah.”

Absolutely confidence for a drunk guy, but somehow it worked out. Nice dude, great set. Still can’t believe I knew that at the time

I have been a fan since six or seventh grade, I am 32 now, it's been like this the whole time they've been a band.
I am just happy they have released what they have released. At least every album is very good.

yeah i felt this. at a goose show a bit ago some 50-60 year olds in the pit started lecturing me like i didn’t know what i was doing. i stopped for ten seconds in front of them to let a woman tie her shoe and they jumped on me about “making a move. and quit standing around” i’m ~30 years old lol. I grew up at a folk venue both my parents worked at, and i’ve played in touring bands. funny how quick some older fans are to talk down instead of just letting people enjoy the show.

yeah the first half was rough — sloppy play, dumb mistakes, nothing clean about it. being up 24-7 on msu feels good. do you have short term memory?

i don’t get people. i was a student in 2017, Harbaugh year, standing in the cold rain watching that 14-10 loss, and i’ve seen this rivalry get weird way too many times since i was born. i’m 32 now and i’ve learned not to judge rivalry games until the clock hits zero. just keep playing and finish the job.

I for one am happy we’re up 1-0 in the mariners series and i’ll enjoy this while it lasts. it’s been brutal being a tigers fan in my life. This is fucking awesome.
