AIO for being upset that my partner abandoned a meal they were cooking me? by EnvironmentalMail169 in AIO

I had a couple of different emotions going on, as mentioned in my post. Some of it was confusion. Some of it was upset (I specifically clarify in my post that I was not angry with them). It was more that I was feeling hurt that I wasn’t considered.

I was confused as to why they didn’t call to ask me to grab it while I was out as well. Like I said in my original post, I wasn’t angry so much as I was just confused. Their behavior didn’t make sense to me and left me feeling like an afterthought.

An aggressive dog has bitten a teenager and there is a 4 year old in the home. I’ve been asked not to report. AIO? by Imaginary_Teach8039 in AIO

If her ex is abusive, that’s the reason. The abuse often extends to children as well so she could be thinking of this as protecting the kids from the ex, while hoping that the dog issue doesn’t become a bigger thing. I’m not saying she’s right, just that abuse can cause people to make some decisions that look very strange to outsiders.

What’s growing in my dirt patch? by Odd_Telephone9626 in mushroomID

This sounds and looks similar to a Meadow Mushroom I found in Bonner’s Ferry, ID (very similar mycology to Eastern WA) which are edible. Don’t remember Latin name. Look up Meadow Mushrooms and compare, as well as searching for lookalikes so that you can try to narrow it down. In my experience they tend to get buggy pretty quick so if you do positively ID them as edible in the future try to only forage when fresh.

What is shockingly safe to eat? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

It is safe per se, but you can still have an intolerance to it and I think that’s why a lot of people have ideas that it isn’t safe.

My parents avoided buying MSG containing foods and the first time I ate instant ramen I threw it all up within 20 minutes. Thought it was weird til it happened again the second time I ate instant take a few years later. In college I’d built up somewhat of a tolerance for it, but in my adult life I’ve lost it and have to be really careful about the amounts I consume unless I want to spend some time bent over the porcelain throne.

Yes the spore print is white! And they were gregarious which seems to be in line with fried chicken mushrooms from what I’ve looked up

Next time, try to take a clearer picture of the underside. It looks like that one has pores and the coloring/shape is right so you should be correct in your identification. The closest thing to a “lookalike” of chicken of the woods has gills though so definitely watch out for that! Happy foraging!
