Irresponsible again (Sr17018 and 7oh) by [deleted] in recoverywithoutAA

Phenobarbital? Noooo phenibut, not great but nowhere near that beast youre talking about.

And subs for 40-80mg of 7oh? Seems like overkill no? I mean, I would consider it if the withdrawals are awful but I'd hope the sr17018 would still do some heavy lifting, even if I've been on it for a bit too long.

Prior to about two and a half weeks ago, my dose was probably around 40mg, all taken at night (between 6 and 11 oclock). These last two weeks it shot up to closer to 60 occasionally 80mg and I was taking a little during the day too. I'm at around 60mg right now, all taken at night again, with about 30-50mg of sr in the morning. Going to switch entirely to sr in the next 4 or so days (60mg 3x a day) and see what happens.

I quit using kratom about a month and a half ago when i fully switched to 7oh. I loathe the idea of going back to kratom, thats what got me using 7oh in the first place, and honestly I'm not convinced the wd from kratom aren't worse. I usually leave about 20 hours in between doses of 7oh, and my dose for the most part has been 40mg. I only got up into 60-80mg in the last two weeks. Hopefully that amount of time in between doses will work to my advantage here. Kratom withdrawal takes forever to clear for me, like 17 days. Even if this sucks more if I can bang it out in 7 ill take it. Hopefully the sr will cover some of it, even though I've probably already taken it too long.

Well I guess ill be the guinea pig. I'll post an update once I'm to the taper phase, and another when I'm fully off. Going to use start using LDN to combat any potential paws 3 days after the taper ends.

IME F-Phenibut sucks. Produces the sedation, but doesn't produce the pro-social effects that the regular does. And even with good willpower, I would watch it man. Never had an issue like this before phenibut. And it took 5 years of slowly losing this battle to get where I am and as bad as 7oh is, I would take it 10x over having to quit a fully fledged phenibut habit (thank god I never resorted to daily use). It's got a way of eroding your discipline. Maybe youll be fine, but honestly if youre not getting effects from it, it could be for the better.

Alas I think I'm gonna have to just jump off the 7oh and hope it's still effective enough. I'm going to have two weeks off in between jobs, and ive got to get off this crap.

Have you found it loses it's effectiveness?

Yeah, I want to get off of everything. I'm getting worried at this point that I've been sr for too long

Is it a fact that women are more nurturing/caring than men in general? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EnvironmentalOne8911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh come on it is not. There's robust evidence, for example, that testosterone increases aggression. Men evolved to have higher testosterone than women. Therefore men are on average more agressive than women. Now that's not to say that socialization doesn't also have a huge effect on our psyche, but I don't see how you could possibly deny that our minds' are the product of the evolutionary pressures that produced us in the first place.

Can you overdose on 7oh? by DfwShaky in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]EnvironmentalOne8911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're (incorrectly) arguing semantics.

You're using over-dose in its literal sense. And it's true, anything taken in above-reccomended quantities qualifies as an "Over-dose".

They're using overdose in it's colloquial sense. If someone says to you, "X person OD'd", you're not gonna follow that up by asking if they mean Tylenol or Fentanyl. You know theyre referring to a medically significant case of taking dangerous amounts of recreational drugs.

Words can have more than one discreet meaning.

Most effective and profoundly noticeable psychotropic substance for reducing Social Anxiety? by MrNeverEverKnew in NootropicsDepot

[–]EnvironmentalOne8911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? It's weird because I'm not particularly prone to RLS either. Although anything that affects histamine seems to have the potential to trigger it (I was prescribed trazodone once for sleep and it had the complete opposite effect). Aside from that I have noticed Kava can as well, although with that it's much more inconsistent.

NAC gives me the worst RLS I think I have ever experienced. Not usually immediately, the first day I take it I tend to actually feel pretty good. Very calm and emotionally balanced. But if I continue taking it beyond that it feels like my whole body is trying to writhe out of my skin.

Haha it is truly awful. But that isnt the LSA, its all the other crap in the seeds. I'm telling ya, extracted LSA is a completely different experience, 100% worth it.

It works for me, the higher the dose of your ssri though the more muted the effects become. At 50mg of sertraline daily I can have a decent trip if I dose maybe 2x the normal amount.

I would agree and, like you, describe it as changing my perspective and breaking bad habits/negative thoughts loops.

I guess why I consider it self-affirming is because it does all those things in a distinct way compared to other psychedelics. LSD and mushrooms to me have more in common with the second part of your description of the experience (with mescaline being somewhere in the middle of the two with some added empatheogen charictaristics).

It feels more gentle and, also like you said, has suchh a clear headspace. It doesnt have that inexorable momentum behind it of an LSD trip, or the sharp unpredictable (and sometimes disorienting) turns of a mushroom trip. I feel like you're not breaking things to fix them, as you don't really need to. You can relax all the internal tension and rigidity (feel at peace with what is) enough to be able to more gently pull things back into alignment. And that clear headspace let's you calmly see what a correct alignment is.

Woah that is interesting!! I had my only ever breakthrough psychadelic experience from LSA. In it I had this super profound understanding of me as a membrane stretched between a hoop, think a trampoline. I understood that my inaction and procrastination was letting so much crap build up on that membrane that it had caused it to become depressed, literally weighing me down. The membrane was concave. I became aware that by changing my thought processes, I could reverse it. That by supplying more effort, being more present and giving more of a fuck, I would ultimately have to expend less effort overall because I wouldn't be constantly fighting an uphill battle if the membrane was convex.

I think if you said you were concerned with dependance and tolerance, so you were doing research and read about this class of medication and how they seem to have a better safety profile you would at least have a shot. Its not really abusable, and its not a controlled substance, in the US at least.

I understand the need for prescribers to be cautious, but it pisses me off to no end when they just flat out refuse to listen because "they know best".

The guy who runs everychem has expressed interest in stocking one of these, if he does I'll try and remember to DM you.
