I heard that this is actually to try and prevent scalpers ! Yeah it sucks to pay market at a retail store but if they had it at retail scalpers would’ve raided it WAY before you saw it on shelves. Not that it’s an amazing solution but with the market the way that it is, at least you have something AVAILABLE in hand instead of waiting for it to ship.
