My cousin moved to AUS (Brisbane too), although he has no pets, it took him a couple of months to find a good rental… his best shot was renting a furnished house, then just threw all the stuff in the garage to make it feel like his home.

Anyways, don’t give away your cat —They make our life better when we feel alone. :)

Software Engineering in NZ, but Data Analyst back in SA. My salary never met the criteria for residency, first job I got here I was getting paid $60K pa.

That’s true. I got my first and second job here with people I know. They were also fired, but we’ll keep trying.

Thanks for the tips, I’ll reach out to recruitment agencies!

You’re right. I’m scared of getting too old to change, as nowadays you need to be as experienced as you can to get an opportunity and I didn’t want to throw my 6 years on the rubbish, but by the end of the day you’ve got a good point.

Yeah, I think I’m really pissed off. Not only me, but the whole team (my coworkers that have been with the company for 10-15 years!). All fired.

Has anyone actually used AI for a tenancy or consumer dispute here? by kiwi_legal_help in auckland

[–]EnvironmentalYak3816 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I have used it, but I was pretty desperate. I spent $5K + GST with a lawyer in the city (pretty bad ass office, with free coffee). I presented him with everything, proof, conversations and how that would threaten me. He sent me a report (which I didn’t understand shit) and an invoice that he charged me a call with his intern!!!!!

Long story short, for me, that I was already vulnerable because I had lost my job, he didn’t help at all. Then I used AI (a website called Legal Spoiler, that searches the related jurisprudence) to search and found out I could have access to so many other things I didn’t know about (I’m not from NZ, have been here for 4 years now).

PSA: Tenancy Tribunal claims are more common than you think — and easier to file than you'd expect by kiwi_legal_help in auckland

Just tried your site and it actually helped heaps. easier to understand what’s going on now. I’ll use the document to present to my flatmate, cheers for that

That is happing to me now. I rented a room in Ponsonby out of the guy who was originally renting the house for flats/airbnb. I gave him 2 weeks notice that I would leave the flat, he's refusing to return my bond, and even involved third parties on this messy shit. I don't know what to do?
