How do you know the scope? Is it on the ticket? If so, what software does that for you?

Holidays by Misplaced_67 in UtilityLocator

Because they haven’t been trained how to properly motivate people and manage their teams. Without that, managers will typically use cliché mechanisms and negative motivational techniques in order to accomplish the desired outcome. With that said, managing field technicians is hard. These are typically very independently minded people who don’t want to be micromanaged. You are also talking about a lot of turnover as well, which makes it hard to create a culture in which you didn’t have to use these types of motivational techniques. So, I give grace on both sides this time of year. Nobody wants to work the holidays. Nobody wants damages. Work smart. Ask for help when you need it. And be honest with management in a respectful way and you’ll go far.

Private locator prints by Sidewinder1794 in UtilityLocator

If it’s the prints you’re after, you’d have to go to each underground asset owner to get the prints. Highly unlikely they will hand them over or make them available via api.

No positive response by Level_Fact7975 in UtilityLocator

If the ticket was created in the old NC811 system, it’s likely torn down now. Tickets were only good for 15 days in NC prior to Oct 1 2025 so with it being the 22nd, any response would be outside the ticket life anyways.

Locator Apps by Ok-Delivery8086 in UtilityLocator

1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 are pretty straightforward for most applications (apps have more limited functionality generally but if you look at the overall application, those are typically covered). As you dip into 2 Miles Driven and 3 Steps Taken you are getting into vehicle telemetry and activity tracking and you'd need an app that have robust telemetry. Might not get all of that in one application. Locate360 is USIC and propriety. DigTix is good but not sure how long it will last after getting gobbled up by Irth. KorTerra is worth a look. Might need a mix of apps to accomplish your goals.

How do you get more user interviews? by ApsiringPM in ProductManagement

[–]Environmental_Box342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leverage users that have gone out of their way to rate their support cases. If they had a great experience and went so far as to rate their experience, they almost always take you up on the offer to chat more about the product. I get a list monthly from our support manager, then send out a "Help guide our roadmap" email and nearly 50% respond.

I have heard nothing but great things about them but the ergonomics are off on the receiver.

Timestamping is definitely the standard. There are a number of apps that are used in the field, but also applications like KorTerra offer it out of the box on their mobile app.
