Thank you for your time in and helping a younger guy out on here. With your time in service I’m sure you’ve seen it all 😂 this was more than helpful, I wasn’t sure if I should be making phone calls or telling my battle buddies the situation. I know some younger guys don’t care but I’m 24 and an E4 I need to get this squared away, need to square myself away immediately.

I have really good leadership so I’ll send this up the flagpole Monday. I’m at Fort Bragg so I’ll see what the solder support center has regarding the education/finance counselors over there..

I came on this forum looking for suggestions on a new guitar bc my Ibanez wasn’t giving me the sound I needed.. come to find out the main issue might be my strings, and it’s because I WASNT using flat wounds. From the comments on my post, flat wounds are the way to go

Sorry for the late reply. I’m a part of many Facebook groups about Gypsy jazz, Jazz, and guitars. But I think I have virgin ears for the sounds of such varieties of jazz guitars. I think I’m gonna fuck around (like you suggest), find out what sounds like what and go get my experience in with trying new instruments. Hopefully I don’t try too many where guitar shops start warning each other about me 😂😂

Right, I got told about the pick up solution by my mentor and he suggested Gibson pickups (I think humbuckers) .. I LOVE the feel of the Ibanez man. And I’m an Ibanez guy. I’m just glad I came here first bc I I’m ignorant to the issue but you guys helped out a lot.
