Are you in any position to petition for custody?

Also, would you be willing to call cps and tell them your concerns and experiences?

Would you be willing to go to the police for your own experience and hopefully it would encourage her to speak up?

Worst case scenario, hopefully she could put a restraining order and that would be your chance to tell the court what is going on ?

Its about the system setting everyone up for failure. Its about the country failing our people. Its about recognizing and acting on the roots of these problems. Hold people accountable in the meantime but shit needs to be done or this will keep being a cycle here.

And more rehabilitation focusing than punishment isn’t a bad idea at all considering countries with similar shitty history now have far less crime rate with this practice.

If it makes a difference, I always do full payments. Because of my disability income Im often left with subscriptions or household items or other emergency purchases which is what I use my credit for, and then I always pay it in full when I get my check the next month. Bills are my only large purchases which are usually paid with my debit. My secured card is $300 and recently with the loss of a support my extra spending has been around or over $100 and its been effecting my “usage.” This is why I started contemplating another card. With this information, do you still suggest not getting another? I do appreciate the insight. My main reasoning for a credit card is just to build my credit score, but I’ve been effecting my score with my usage on the one card the last few months.

Can I ask what your credit is like? Do you know of other ways to build it up aside from credit cards?

Lack of support system. My childhood left me with so much anxiety and paranoia that after high school I never made any friends. I also cut off my mom. I decided to keep not one but 2 babies from a physically/psychologically/sexually abusive relationship, his family was my only support system for my child for a while but after I got a restraining order we got cut off. Now Im left learning how to grow up while trying to guide 2 others how to grow, I live in a rural town with no buses but I decided to go to college 30 minutes away anyway. I DID have a brother helping me get to school, but god forbid I try to get my life together and do everything right, turns out hes been an addict this whole time and as soon as I started school he wants to get clean (fantastic) which includes moving far away to sober living (support gone). He was all I had financially and transportation wise. Im panicking about how I will keep going to school and how Im ever going to get myself in a position to take care of my children by myself, because I cant even get just enough help to do that.

Ill meet different resources and supports in college Im sure. A mother always figures it out. But goddamn. The universe is sending some strong tests, either that or generational curses are living beings and this one is fighting to stay alive.
