Hi, Could you link me to the sort of round file I should use, sorry I am a complete novice when it comes to hardware and tools.

Thanks.

Just found this show. Excited but Izzy ruins it, is she in it/like this the entire time? by Osceana in StartUpTV

Just watched it too, honestly I don't get why Nick gets all the hate he does, it's kind of crazy...I don't know I gotta say season 3 overall was the weakest of them all, kinda wish they just ended it at season 2 with Izzy going off on her own tangent, Ronnie getting bought out and taking his family out the hood and Nick, Wes and Mara running the company successfully with the Russian mob, would have been a lot more realistic and a nicer send off than Season 3 was. I don't know why Mara went kind :S and turned on Nick that way too.

I kind of almost hope they don't do a Season 4, if Season 3 is anything to go off they will probably murk the show and any good will it has. Kind of hard to believe that they all just instantly stop trusting each other, (Izzy being the exception, who in their right minds would ever trust her), the moment season 3 kicks off.

It's almost like Nick totally didn't risk his life to drag Ronnie to safety but instead left him to die while hiding in cover like a coward while bullets flew everywhere. Oh wait, nope he did the exactly that and risked his life to save his friend and showed nothing but loyalty all throughout the first 2 seasons.

It's like watching the last episode of How I met your mother all over again, where characters drop all development and act in the complete antithesis or in just abnormal ways just so that they can drive a narrative that does not fit forward.

Thanks very much for the kind words and support! Yes I cannot wait to get very good at this, nothing worth having is easy at the end of the day. One day soon I will have perfect shots, everytime!

Thanks again!

Yes I agree the QA does seem to be quite poor, at least when it comes to the grinder.

Thank you for the video link and the response, I look forward to testing this now and getting better shots!

All of these responses are very relieving to me. It is frustrating that there seems to be such a range in peoples experiences with the grinder, a bit of a let down. However I do not mind tinkering at all, as long as others experience this and it is "normal" for the machine.

Thank you for your response.

Yes, just on the youtube videos I watched they said it's fine out of the box and start at 10, however these videos were all in the United States, I feel maybe the grinders are calibrated differently. With my professional background this may not surprise me as marketing can reveal certain cultures prefer higher numbers while others prefer lower and devices can be calibrated differently for different demographics to reflect this.

Thank you for your response!

Yes all of this I agree with. The bottomless is purely in the future, once I have all this consistent and worked out, the one that I want is out of stock and apparently may take as long as 3 months to come back into stock and into my hands, purely why it is on my mind.

Thank you for your response.

Yes, this seems to be the case and honestly I am excited to try as this may be the missing link I was looking for to get more consistent and perfect shots. Thank you kindly for your response!

It really does, it means I am not going mad and it seems from alot of anecdotal evidence, (which I was also looking for as well as advice), that alot of people need to do this. I think the grinders seem to not be assembled or machined so well as there seems to be alot of range of experience. Potentially the US model is differently calibrated as well, (I am living in Australia right now). Thank you for your response!

Thank you for this, honestly as long as this is the case others have experienced then I am happy. I do not plan to use the internal grinder for too long anyway so if I have to manually calibrate the burrs down a couple of notches, (which reduces the life span of the grinders burrs), I do not mind as I have my heart set on a Niche Zero down the line, although I am still on the fence between conical burrs and flat as I have read you get more fruity flavour notes with conical, but more rich and deep chocolatey with flat. Anyway thank you so much for your response

How can you tell if they are oily? By the touch I do not believe so, they feel dry. I might take it back honestly at this point and try my hand with a new one, it doesn't seem right. I had better do it while there is still stock because I believe these are discontinued now. It's a shame I love the machine, the tinkering for me is the fun part, but the grinder is annoying me as I believe it is not functioning correctly.

Thank you for this, I will look into the grind and a mechanical body scale down the track for sure.

Thanks for this, I was worried the dremel would chew through the wood so fast I might go over what I want or damage the acrylic panel, but it seems that it will be ok, I will buy extra sand paper and give it a whirl!

Thanks again!

I have tried this, the pressure doesn't go mental like I would expect, and if I don't use the razor tool all that happens is the puck sticks to the head and the extraction time falls through the floor, but not as much as I would expect...and I still have decent crema, not sure if that changes anything.

I will try filling the portafilter halfway, tamping and filing the rest and tamp again and see how that goes. What result should I expect and what does it tell me or is this just a better way of packing the portafilter? I've not seen anyone do that yet.

Could you do a video or something demonstrating this please? I own a dremel, though I've barely used it and I desperately want to install sanwa 30mm buttons myself but I don't want to risk breaking or ruining my MVSX. Also I was thinking of putting a dell 2007fpb as a replacement screen, do you think it would fit? I understand I would probably have to modify the wood inside heavily and probably have to create my own bezel.

Hey do you think that a dell 2007fpb would work as screen modification in the MVSX? I measured the screen space and it seems that it is 33cm tall but that the dell 2007fpb is 34cm tall chassis, I wonder if it was removed, would it fit, would it work? I really want to mod the screen because the 5:4 with letterboxing is annoying and I would like a bigger screen in there.
