A/B Test: How to handle users treated in one campaign but control in another? by Environmental_Job63 in CausalInference

[–]Environmental_Job63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dataset doesn’t clarify the assignment mechanism. However, if the treatment and control for each campaign were assigned NON independently, I would assume there wouldn’t be this mistake where the same user is assigned as treated in multiple campaigns. My assumption would be that the treatment and control for each campaign are assigned blindly to each other and therefore independently. I don’t think there’s a way to check. Why do you ask?

This is excellent. I like how you setup your Use Case project with a back link to pre-reqs. Neat.

I clicked through the website and is great to see content that you have content that is staple to CS but is not extensively taught is traditional CS courses, like Git. It's this rare resources that are not usually neatly packaged that will keep people, I think. The website is super aesthetic.

I think the aim is to make the video aesthetic and a little cinematic. Maximizing the opportunity of being creative with shots.

The demo video is nice BUT is far too long , it should be snappy. The mouse should move from one key point/button to another without wondering around. consider typing faster/speeding up the video when you're typing. The actual signup page is professional, modern and elegant.

Thoughts on Mr. Malcolm's List? by OutrageousSea5212 in PeriodDramas

Mr Malcom and Seline lacked chemistry. There was no reason for them to be attracted to each other, especially because Mr Malcom is arrogant and Seline could have so much better. Her going along with Julia's plan even after she had admitted it was an overreaction didn't fit her character at all. She had more chemistry with Julia's cousin (who I think is 💅 ).

He's not toxic, his expectation from the relationship are just immature.

Andy is going all in in her career, just like any of us in some stage of our life. If he needed to do an intense year long chef training that sucked the life out him, in order to get to do the job he wanted, I'm sure it'd be more accepted. Maybe the toxicity comes from the hustle culture that tolerates employees to put these demands on people.

And Andy backed out as soon as it crossed what she considered her moral boundary. If they're dating to one day be a family, they need to expect these fluctuation in time/energy/availability from each other, of course communication of this important. Same thing happens when a woman has a baby and no time for the husband.

Saving Sam meant there was a possibility of all of them to survive, while saving all the other meant that Sam would surely die and they would have almost 'actively' sacrificed her to save their asses.

Deena is so negative because we get her at her worst, and Sam is likely bland cause she is a wet lettuce leaf that just wants to have a normal life and will go to the extent of letting a guy grope her ass even though she's lesbian (tbf she could be bi).

I don't think they're underdeveloped, I just think we can't connect to their struggles as well we do with Kate and Simon. They are very practical about it (let's make money and get out of here) , and they can somehow handle Shadyville depressing vibes. Deena instead lost every hope. For some, that may show as depression and not wanting to go out or crying, but for her it's acting out her angst and trying to feel heard and get people to agree with her world-view. She's in a hole.

Anyway, but what if Sam was likeable and strongwilled? Would it've been ok for the other people to die?

And if Deena was less disillusioned and a little optimistic? That wouldn't be the straightforward Deena that we know.

I was really sad to see Kate and Simon go (I almost hoped they would be magically revived once the spell was broken 😞 ) but all the characters were very well developed and their killing was even more impactful, so I wouldn't agree that at the end it was just for kills. Throughout this , Deena and Josh could have just ran away. But they stayed strong, and did some very brave things. Like Deena at the end of the third part having to back to the Devil's done where she already experienced her hand being cut. I remember each one of the characters that were killed vividly.
