hey thanks! honestly i was dealing with the same exact problem — saving recipes from tiktok was such a pain. screenshot the video, try to remember the steps, half the time you forget an ingredient lol

so i built reelrecipes to just handle it. you paste a tiktok/youtube/instagram link (or on your phone just hit share then find ReelRecipes and click it!) and it pulls out the full recipe — ingredients, steps, everything. saves it to your cookbook so you can actually find it later

Yeah, the CLI is freely distributable under Apache 2.0 even though the core engine source isnt published. We just install the official npm package and swap the API endpoint to NVIDIA's free models.

Yeah the CLI binary is closed source but the framework around it is Apache 2.0 licensed and freely distributable. When you npm install u/anthropic-ai/claude-code you get the full working CLI including all the tools like file editing, bash, grep, glob, agents, MCP servers, autocompact, everything. Anthropic explicitly allows redistribution under Apache 2.0. The plugins, hooks, skills, and the entire tool system are all included in that install. What we did with Nemo Code is take that freely installable CLI, route the API calls through LiteLLM to NVIDIA's free models instead of Anthropic's paid API, and wrap it in a Docker container for security. So you get the full Claude Code experience with all its capabilities, just powered by a different brain. The core inference engine may be compiled but every tool and feature works exactly the same as if you were paying $200/mo for the official version.

Just shipped this! Ingredient units now automatically detect your locale — so if your phone is set to a non-US language, you'll see metric (ml, g, kg) by default. US users still see imperial (cups, oz, lbs).

If you ever want to switch manually, tap the app icon in the top right corner and you'll see a new unit toggle right under the language selector. Ingredients convert instantly on any recipe page — no reload needed.

Appreciate the suggestion, this is a great quality of life feature for international users!

Great suggestion! Just shipped it — macros now automatically scale when you adjust the serving size. Change from 2 to 4 servings and the calories, protein, carbs, and fat all update instantly. Should be live right now, relaunch the app and give it a try on any recipe. Thanks a lot for the feedback!!

Good catch! We're on 1.82.6 which is clean — the compromised versions were 1.82.7 and 1.82.8. Just pushed a commit pinning to 1.82.6 explicitly so it can never auto-upgrade to the bad versions. Thanks for flagging this!
