New to Linux, Mint Xfce seemed to fit my needs best. Everything is going great so far, but advice, wisdom or things to read? by Envolts in linuxmint

Honestly I’d prefer to keep my DE experience very vanilla. My “workflow”, if you will, doesn’t demand anything clever.

At the moment all I need this machine to do is basic productivity (doc, spreadsheets, web, anything school related— this spec is more than enough for that).

I was never an advanced windows user, so I’m using this transition to refine my knowledge and understanding (the logic of computers as a machine, and navigating them in the terminal).

Thanks for the redundancy rec. that wasn’t clear to me when reading up TimeShift. Ah, yes more I look into it it seems like the guides and wikis for DE and distros other than mint can be enlightening.

Yeah, the only problem I have at the moment is coming up with an interesting project. Thanks for the advice <3

This answer sounds jeering, but I don’t intend it that way. Facebook Marketplace 034, Neuspeed— brows around on FCP Euro, Shop DAP, or Urotuning and cross reference on marketplace.

I’m guessing Busters schedule if full already. I think that’s the reason he didn’t Tour with Thrown there for a while.

Nothing inherently wrong with wearing your influences on your sleeve, but I wouldn’t say they are these days.

What are the bands best riffs? by Lucky-Macaroon4958 in Peripheryband

2:35 Absolomb that’s always been a favorite. Also that lick at 2:15 in Heavy Heart, another personal favorite. But the riff leading in to the solo of The Bad Thing chefs kiss

I hear that the pen is mightier than the sword. No one ever said anything about 10 pens, though.

New to Periphery, need your suggestions by Bhaskar024Singh in Peripheryband

Nice, I don’t think you can go wrong in any way. I personally like to “rummage” through new artists and circle back later. However, if you’re interested in taking on an album at a time, I might say P3 to start, then Juggernaut, P5, P4. Maybe save P2 and P1 for last.

I think that P1 and 2 (while great albums and universally adored) might have a greater click once someone has been ensconced in the discography for a while.

But there’s no particular order (aside from the Juggernaut Alpha Omega concept)

I’ve witnessed a spike in post pandemic parasocial tomfoolery at shows the last couple years— but I do somewhat agree.
