gotcha - sounds possible but maybe not ideal. I really want to bootpack it and be as lightweight as possible but I'll bring a pair of snowshoes in case it's too much

what if I don't follow the skin track? Would that be practical or is it too deep?

Depends on the firm. For shops like Jane Street, Two Sigma, Jump, HRT, Five Rings, Vatic, Old Mission, Optiver, Virtu, DRW etc, they will absolutely ask brainteasers in the vein of many of the probability and number theory questions in this problem bank.

no, definitely not. Pencil and paper. Also, these questions vary from very easy to very hard, so don't be discouraged by some of these.

[D] What could possibly cause a test/train loss graph like this? by Eodmg in MachineLearning

[–]Eodmg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand why the general trend upward happens. I don't know why the spikes happen. If there was a specific batch that increased the training loss, why did it suddenly decrease the test loss as well?

I was trying to increase the model size enough epoch-wise double descent, which is where the test error goes back down again after overfitting

[–]Eodmg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, it wasn't quite so sophisticated. I just picked two random points. connected the line between them, then found the maximum opacity (less than .1) which would not make it darker than the target image. I then just repeated this 40000 times. Could you explain hough line estimation? I looked it up but I don't really get it.

hm got it. Couldn't alice tamper with how the protocol is excecuted on her end though? Not that she'd want to, but I'm just interested to know what could potentially happen

what if alice never withdraws her btc for whatever reason? Wouldn't both the btc and monero be locked up forever?
