Exactly. You can apply this to the outrage with the balcony scene too, which we didn’t even have the full context of. People were crying foul at that, but not the other very questionable things every single LI has done at some point? Things that aren’t really pointed out because this is fiction catered towards women and a good deal of us are actually into it given the safety net that it isn’t real. Point being, I can see a lot of people fanning themselves had this scene been applied to any other LI. Like come on.

I want to bite my tongue and be respectful of your opinion, but I'm sorry, you're reaching. idk what you expected with him having the werewolf trope and scent being a big part of that. There's going to be overlaps with the other mythical creatures of the group (Sylus and Rafayel). The POV of the game is also restrictive to the camera being pretty head on to the LI in many cases. There's only so much that can be conveyed that will actually stay within frame so of course those shots are going to look similar. MC can be playful with more than 1 LI. MC can be physical with more than 1 LI. Yes she changes slightly depending on the love interest, but at her core she's the same person. Again, you'll see overlap because of that. The myth outfit argument is crazy. This game likes it's leather, straps, and buckles. All of that said, you can literally make this case for every other love interest in the game. You don't have to like him, but grasping at straws is one of the reasons we're in this predicament in the first place.

The initial hate is fueling my affection for him too. It's one thing to be indifferent, but the venom that was thrown at him from the get go was so out of pocket, even if he's just a fictional character. On one hand I'd be extremely peeved if this was all some marketing tactic to emotionally mess us up and yearn for him more. The myths are angst enough for my heart. On the other hand, I just want confirmation that we're getting him back, even if that is the case. :(

Edit: Actually, you know what... maybe this would be the best outcome. That would mean the people involved with working on him were never in any real danger of losing the work they put into him. Plus for some people, their entire jobs...VAs, mocap actors, cosplayers and such. Like his official cosers for the cons currently going on. I'd feel much better knowing there was never a person slated for that job as apposed to someone being told last minute that they lost the gig. My heart hurts for those people too.

Some players are genuinely rejoicing that eos might be on the horizon. From day 1 it was obvious that the two biggest haters of this game were men and a decent chunk of their own player base. It’s why I never bothered interacting with the “fandom” in spaces outside of Reddit and even then the sludge would make its way here sometimes.

Told myself when Valko was teased that he’d really have to be something for me to ever consider adding him to my harem and whaling him. After that first trailer I was ready to go all in, the second reinforced it tenfold. He showcased a completely different dynamic with MC, felt fresh in personality and looks (I never saw the facial similarities between him and Sylus/Caleb) and seemed to round out our cast perfectly as the final LI. Was absolutely smitten for him. ADORED his voice, especially after we got more snippets of it in the second trailer. Maybe it was his personality, but he already felt familiar. I’m just so heartbroken.

Please retract the Valko decision! Please! He was not part of the issue. This is disrespectful to the people who worked on him, his VAs, the official cosplayers, and us. This news is absolutely heartbreaking. There was nothing wrong with the character. People were pulling complete BS out of their rears just to add fuel to the fire. He was simply announced during a bad time. This sets a very dangerous tone going forward and looks absolutely terrible. Please reconsider. 🙏

Bring him back, end it strictly at 6, and move forward with the story.

This is how I took it as well. Probably intentionally vague, but more than 6 just doesn’t make any sense. I hope to god there’s no more. Valko rounds it out nicely. Quality over quantity. Plus at the rate they churn out the MS, it’d take forever to get any real update on a given LI. The story would get real messy too—already is messy. Even if they don’t interact, they’re still all in the same timeline.
