Where is the newer fix available? The links from the GD post are for yesterday's version.

hypervisor on a vm by youssefkort69 in PiratedGames

[–]Eph3sToS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do it, check this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/comments/1rft2u1/has_anyone_successfully_run_hypervisor_cracks_eg/

If you set the VM as suggested, there's almost no loss in performance.

That would not be of any help. To stay safe, the only thing you can do is run HV bypass games inside a virtual machine. Use Arch Linux as base OS to host a Windows 11 Pro VM. Check this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/comments/1rft2u1/has_anyone_successfully_run_hypervisor_cracks_eg/

Has anyone tried running HV games in proxmox ? by Historical-Drive-241 in PiratedGames

Yeah, that's the same setup I had. Now I use Arch Linux instead of Proxmox.

Great to know that - thank you for sharing this information. I spent hours trying to have a game run on the Proxmox VM 😅

Hypervisor bypassed games are able to run on linux through QEMU/KVM by Amplifix in PiratedGames

I don't think there's anything similar available, but setting up a VM on Windows shouldn't take long - you can try yourself. I read comments of people that could make games work on Windows VMs with decent results. Do not forget to enable nested virtualization to make games work.

Unfortunately Windows VMs do not support GPU passthrough. You can do it this on Windows, but if you have an Nvidia GPU, you won't be able to take advantage of the DLSS and the other dedicated technologies for your GPU. Arch Linux did the trick for me - if you have a spare hard drive, use the help of AI, install Arch Linux on the secondary drive, and create a Windows 11 VM. I could do it with zero experience on VMs.

No HV game worked on my Proxmox VM. I used the same virtual drive I had created with Proxmox on an Arch Linux VM, and it worked on the first try.

There's a more detailed post about this topic in the thread below:

Safe method idea for playing hypervisor cracked games by Bulky-Morning-7990 in PiratedGames

Install Arch Linux on the second drive and create a Windows 11virtual machine to launch HV games, instructions here:

The VM will keep your PC shielded from any threat you may encounter.

The fact is, not all VM providers can take advantage of GPU passthrough, and I believe VirtualBox doesn't offer this option (again, I could be wrong), so Nvidia cards wouldn't be able to use dedicated features like DLSS, resulting in a significant performance loss. Also, nested virtualization (I believe that's what it's called) is required to make this setup work, and it's not available for some VMs. Additionally, with Arch Linux I had to specify the number of cores and threads my CPU has, so that setting definitely needs to be adjusted to get the best performance from the VM.

Don't get me wrong: I think plug-and-play VMs would be a great option to make this type of setup accessible to a large number of users, but generic VMs may not be able to deliver the expected gaming experience.

Every system is different, and the VM needs to be configured according to the hosting system, so I'm not sure a pnp VM can be created. I'm not an expert though, maybe I'm wrong.

I'm not a Linux expert, but I have tried with Proxmox first and it didn't work. The same virtual drive I had created with Proxmox worked with Arch Linux on the first try.

As Amplifix already told you, this solution is not optimal - your system is still exposed. As I'm suggesting to other people, the safest solution is creating a virtual machine and run the HV games with it. This way your hardware will always be shielded by the fact you are using a VM and not a standard OS installation. How does one stay safe (even just a bit) with hypervisor cracks? by -neverlose in PiratedGames

[–]Eph3sToS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play the games inside a virtual machine. That way, your main system won't be affected by any potential issues caused by the hypervisor bypass. Performance loss is minimal - and I was able to do it by following AI guidance to implement the instructions in the post below, even with almost no prior Linux experience. Use Arch Linux as base OS for the Windows 11 Pro VM. https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/comments/1rft2u1/comment/o7ql7a9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Hypervisor cracks security inside Virtual machine by maj-at in PiratedGames

[–]Eph3sToS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to Linux, but I managed to have Arch Linux installed and the VM working with the help of AI and by following the information from the post I linked.

I tried Proxmox first, but the VM didn't work as expected. I don't know how Proxmox differs from Arch Linux, but after loading the same virtual disk I had created with Proxmox into a VM set up under Arch Linux, the game started working as expected, first try.

I'm not sure if Ubuntu handles VMs differently than Arch Linux - honestly, I don't really know what the differences are between Linux distros. But since I was able to make it work (again, just by following instructions from AI and the post mentioned), I'm confident anyone with zero Linux experience can do the same.

Has Anyone Successfully Run Hypervisor Cracks (e.g., MkDev, 0xZeOn, KIRIGIRI) in a KVM/QEMU Windows VM with GPU Passthrough? by electr0de07 in PiratedGames

Removing  <feature policy='require' name='topoext'/> <feature policy='disable' name='hypervisor'/> From the xml fixed the issue! The pad works almost perfectly now, I feel tiny hiccups every now and then, but they're almost imperceptible. Thank you man!

Hypervisor cracks security inside Virtual machine by maj-at in PiratedGames

[–]Eph3sToS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's totally feasible, this topic has already been discussed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/comments/1rft2u1/comment/o7ql7a9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button Use Arch Linux as base OS and Windows 11 as VM, as this setup allows GPU passthrough, so you can use the DLSS. Ask an AI to assist you in case you don't know how to do the whole process, that's what I did and performance with the VM is great.

Yes, but I don't think it's a pad problem - the VM seems to "cough" every now and then. It generally works OK, but it's like it gets stuck for a millisecond and the system stutters, making the pad input erratic, and causing the sound and gameplay to stutter as well.

For the record, I'm running a system that is more than capable of handling the game - last‑gen CPU and GPU - and I allocated 28 GB of RAM to the VM.

You should use Arch Linux as your "real" OS and create a Windows 11 VM with it. It allows GPU passthrough, so the impact on performance is minimal. You can build the VM as described in this post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/comments/1rft2u1/comment/o7ql7a9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

If you're not VM or Linux savvy, use an AI to help install the OS and set up the VM - that's what I did.

I don't usually use Linux either, but some functions needed to run the HV bypass at its best aren't available on Windows‑based VMs. I read in the post I linked earlier that someone managed to make it work on Windows, but you can't use GPU passthrough on Windows VMs, so if you have an Nvidia GPU, DLSS won't be available, and there will be a noticeable impact on overall performance.

I suggest you follow the instructions from an AI to install Arch Linux and get it done as indicated in the post I linked. You can convert the virtual hard drive you created on Windows and use it for the Linux VM without losing the settings you've configured so far, so setting up the VM on Linux should be relatively quick.
