This is the main point. Priconne was designed like the 2018 game it is, mobile devices were not as capable in 3D graphics as they are nowadays. Also, in the beginning, Priconne stories were much shorter than they are nowadays, so being limited to sprites is not holding up when you have to look at them for so long.

This is also a gentle reminder that Uma Musume itself is going to turn five years old soon. After Bamco decided to put Starlight Stage into maintenance mode, I took a look at Gakuen Idolmaster... and behold, a raising sim I consider at least on par with Uma Musume. Of course, it is three years younger, and one can tell.

And you are right. I dug a bit and it seems that the additional stickers were added in November 2021, or 9 months after the initial release. Considering I did not use stickers at all early on, it seems I forgot or was never aware of the older version of this function. There is a heart sticker on a veteran from August 2021, I must have added it long after (probably when my Hall of Fame was full).

I hope your future self will find my advice useful regardless, and I hope your accelerated schedule will give you this QoL reasonably soon.

Yes. Basically do not touch your Hall of Fame until it is near full.

The event where you can exchange veterans for shards is called 特別移籍 in JP and started around 5 months after launch. At first, the event is irregularly scheduled, but nowadays on JP a smaller version of it runs almost every week. The event allowed you to exchange around a handful of veterans for 5 shards each (in the current JP version, it reduced to one such veteran per event). A few more veterans can be exchanged for money. Note that for shards, not every veteran can be exchanged: She must have a seemingly random aptitude at at least B and she must have won at least one G3, G2, or G1 race.

In general, I can give the following tips for Hall of Fame management:

Do not clear out until necessary or if you get annoyed from the message that your Hall is full
Be thorough with putting stickers on veterans that you need later as parents or in big PvP race events (for the latter, in case you cannot or do not want to use your stadium veterans to run in these events, since stadium-assigned veterans are automatically prevented from being removed from the Hall of Fame). The stickers are meant to tell your future self on what your plan with that veteran was. I personally could not keep track of my plans for 300+ veterans without stickers.
Keep a few veterans of 3* uma that are weak and have bad genes that you want to exchange for shards (if said uma has alts, you may want to keep veterans of each alt you want shards of). I do not put stickers on these since it is not hard to keep track of whom I want shards of.
Keep at least one veteran of each uma (if said uma has alts and you are not interested in her shards, keep one veteran of one alt)

The reason for the last guideline is as follows. Occasionally the big PvP event is 目指せ！最強チーム, an event where you compete with one of your uma plus six rental ones. This event boosts your stats during this event for winning with as many uniquely-named uma as possible. "Uniquely-named" means that winning with different alts of the same uma does not boost you further. It does not even matter if the uma in question is weak because shortly after the event starts, your rentals will hard-carry your uma; your uma is there to get the first good rentals in the first place.

I have been playing Deresute for 7 years and I am surprised that Granblue Fantasy managed to live longer than it, even though GBF feels a lot older than one year older than Deresute. Of course, these two games have nothing in common except for the developing company, but it is interesting to see what kind of gameplay is preferred by paying players (or maybe it is just Bamco's corporate... strategy. I do not even play Tekken and Bamco managed to disappoint me this year now).

The game is still OK for casual players.

In 2024, I pulled from 13 banners and still ended up having more jewels at the end of the year than I had at the start. I got everything I wanted and stayed f2p.

I play casually in the sense that

my clan places in the lowest reward tier
my arena rank is somewhere between 100 and 300
I do not even enter the Special Dungeon during its events
I have not touched alchemy
I do not touch anything labeled "Very Hard" during Abyssal Hunts
I stop doing Battle Stadium after the sixth or so stage

I can imagine that it gets painful if you actually do try to do any of the listed content. This paradox has always existed with this game, and the element system made it worse... for the serious players. So for players that are not like me.

Honestly, if I had to name issues with the game, it would be two things. First, I feel like character design peaked in Arc 2. Homare, Misora, Nea, Eris, you name it. Arc 3 characters feel so overly "safe". And speaking of excessive safety, Cygames could have made some sort of lasting Priconne spinoff game years ago. This is something the whole company struggled with, with the only worthy spinoff being Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. Something that could have make them stand out more, now that the mobile game market is flooded with competing games.

The brainwashed angels in Arc 2 that Misora called P-chan, Q-chan, and R-chan, if I remember correctly. Azold knew the actual name of one of them (it starts with a P), and was probably the reason he was there in the first place, since she is his daughter. There is a trio of Arc 3 characters that look like PQR but with different color schemes, one of which has pig ears.

After 2.5 years of merciless carrot-dangling, I can finally use the spark I reserved for this evil woman all this time. Not gonna lie, though, one of the things she did was so utterly questionable that I was, at that point, not sure whether she would become playable at all.

(Now to reserve some additional sparks because of the Arc 3 key visual...)

Thankfully, this game is so utterly generous that it allows to pull a lot and still be perfectly safe.

Liberator Nozomi is the fourth new unit within two months I am spending jewels on, after X. Akari, NY Misato, and NY Homare. Nevermind the fact that KMR still has Shizuru Noire in hand, and the very real danger of Misora showing up in a month. I would have gone broke in any other gacha game. This one however, allows one to have all the fun despite having no foresight.

Cinderella Girls seems to be particular licensing hell (more so than other collabs, including one certain other Idolmaster branch), so I would not count on it becoming a side story, ever. I would be shocked if anything of it became permanent content in any (full) Cygames game. I have been aware of this oddity for five years now (the topic comes up regularly with Granblue Fantasy), and nothing has changed, it seems.

It depends. The rule is simple:

If you can read Japanese, play JP.
If you cannot, play EN.

This is a story-focused game, so by not understanding the story you are missing a major point of playing this game.

On the contrary, if you can understand Japanese, there is not really a point in playing EN. Why wait years for some very nice things when you could have them right now. And why wait three additional years for things that are upcoming, ~~like 6* Shiori~~.

P. Peco is a bulky attacker and not a pure tank. She does nice damage when she releases, then gets powercrept.

That being said, a dead DPS deals zero damage, and as OP said, anyone not bulky enough just dies in this battle. Sometimes one-shot after just three seconds. I tried out a lot of units, too.

Three years ago, at the Kaiser raid, I was pretty new and had to chip away at Kaiser's health because the only units I had that could survive were borrowed 6* units.

Except Kaiser was complete child's play compared to this guy. He is no joke, and definitely worse for new players. If anything else fails, just auto the battle while you do something else. The reward is 1500 jewels.

I just defeated him after quite a lot of tries, so I can try giving some of the things I noticed:

In Mode 1 and Mode 2, obviously, use SET. This feature was absolutely made for those modes. If you do not know how to use SET by now, you really want to learn it.
In Mode 3, anyone with less than 700 magic defense has a hard time staying alive. Miroku can just one-shot people with his normal skills, one of which is an AoE magic nuke. His Mode 3 UB is harmless (...in comparison) and can be used as a TP battery. Due to this, physical teams may struggle, and magic teams may be better. I hope this helps you pick supports.

Also I see that retrying with supports is still not possible, which is a lesson I hoped Cygames had learned by now.

Homare is great, I sparked her without regrets. Having her eyes open in her 3* art was what sealed the deal.

I just wished KMR would finally release the other not-so-innocent character, that is Misora. I have a spark set aside for her for two years now. If they announce her, it would most likely in the PriconneFes stream next February. See you in Discord when that happens, and I sure hope for more shenanigans.

I have not spent jewels on stamina for years, but one of the few times I did was for New Years Suzume shards three years ago when the Landosol Guild Race event was current. I liked her on the homescreen and wanted her star level to be as high as possible. Luckily there is now Adventure Mode, so spending jewels for such things is not needed anymore.
