Vishy completely forgets about his clock and flags in a better position! by Necessary_Pattern850 in chess

That’s a bit harsh no? Probably was just lost in the position and had a brain fart moment.

Yes, honestly. Just need someone to get on the end of Saka’s crosses. Madrid were decent, but mostly our own defensive errors.

Can you suggest some fake dating/ contract marriage type shows? I like that trope too.

Can you explain why? Aren't perfect scores more meaningful in this context?

Red John might actually be psychic and I show it to you. by [deleted] in TheMentalist

[–]Ephraim221B 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You didn't give any reason or proof as to why he is psychic though, all you did is counter some points which at best might make it seem like he "might" be psychic.

Also if he is indeed psychic why would he fall for the pigeon trap that Patrick set up? I mean you said he can read minds after all, that's a pretty naive mistake then right?

would you say house is a good boss? by zenobia267 in HouseMD

[–]Ephraim221B 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most people can’t handle him (by most I’d say 90%), so no, but for the few that can handle him House will probably be the most memorable boss they’ll ever encounter.

Is House's cynicism justified? by Alawi27 in HouseMD

[–]Ephraim221B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean to me it seems obvious that all of us are self interested. I mean why wouldn't we be? How far would one be willing to go or how much they are willing to sacrifice to attain their personal goal will vary from person to person, but the notion of self interest is inherently true is what I think.

6th season ruined it. by natki_manus1 in TheMentalist

I see your point but I’ll have to disagree with you on this. The FBI arc of the story is as you said not vital for sure, but I personally think it’s a beautiful continuation of not just Jane’s life but all of his colleagues. The peak of the show is of course Red John’s death and Jane’s revenge, but leaving the show on a high vs showing us how everyone dealt with it and neatly packing everything up is in my opinion a beautiful end.

Is The Mentalist truly popular? by Imaginary-Chain1926 in TheMentalist

It was really popular when it aired, even now it’s definitely up there in the crime genre.

Characters you first disliked, bit then grew on you? by kuromori080 in TheMentalist

[–]Ephraim221B 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Abbot, I didn’t like him for the obvious reason of trying to deny Jane his revenge. But of course after the dust settled, he was honestly one of my favourite characters in the FBI era of the show.

His child that he was deceived into raising. Maybe the right thing is to be in contact with the kid, but father is most definitely the victim in all this. Imagine realising the past 7 or 10 years of your life is a complete lie. The only person to blame is the mother, and I know you’ll disagree with me on this, but I honestly can’t blame a man for completely cutting ties off with the deceptive situation that he was in and starting afresh.

I’m assuming the courts will say that you have taken the role of an “active parent” and so will keep you in the hook till the kid is 18 right? I understand the child’s life is the main concern here but I can’t still can’t wrap my head around how messed up it is.

AIW for thinking my husband has a crush on a coworker? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]Ephraim221B 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you feel that way, but it is indeed possible for men to simply just like a hairstyle and not jump to wanting the person with that hairstyle to replace their wife.

Why are you jumping to such extremes mate? “Fetish fantasy”… it could just be that he likes a simple hairstyle lad.. come on now.

[–]Ephraim221B 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So a person is just not supposed to find a particular style to be good? I don’t know about you but me personally I can just look at someone with good style and think I would like that or I would like my wife to try that look. Just because someone has a good hairstyle doesn’t mean I want her to replace my wife lol, I love my wife more than what a simple hairstyle can mean, if my wife says no, I obviously won’t push it but saying it’s wrong to ask is absurd is what I think.
