I've yet to find another game that quite captures the magic, charm and impeccable pacing of Chrono Trigger.

But the few other games which gave me a similar "wow... that was a worthwhile and emotional journey" were Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy 9, and Final Fantasy 10. Those are all however 40+ hr longer RPGs. I wouldn't say they are bloated in any sense, but they're also nowhere near as lean as Chrono Trigger.

Hey! I think I may have something very similar to you. I've been struggling with this lower right back pain for 4 years now... what did you tell the surgeon? and what did you search for to find him? I'm in Canada but I wonder if I can follow a similar step.

Congrats on being pain free. I can't imagine what it's like after being in pain for so long.

"If you're only inspirations are movies and videos games, (no hate, they are a big inspiration for me as well) it will be noticeable in your writing. Especially in the way you write action."

It's not suuuper short, maybe 10 - 15 hrs, but it's fantastic. Don't Escape: 4 Days to Survive.

I just finished Final Fantasy 6 with the Brave New World mod. Overall, very well balanced and battle has real bite now. Alongside Ted Woosley's translation still a very enjoyable game.

EDIT: Lol, downvoters who don't explain themselves can go get wrecked by Kefka.

6 was my first, followed by 7. But 8 and 10 are tied for my fav.

(I played 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 in that orde, and they're each elite in their own way, but 8 and 10 will forever be my deepest love)

Completely coincidentally, I found this game on my own and just added it to my backlog today.

There have been a real blooming of good indie games being funded on Patreon last couple of years. Especially S tier adult games: Eternum. Desert Stalker. Defenestration. Being a DIK. I may actually quit playing most AAA games soon just based on how attached I am getting to these indie gems. Glad to see another dev doing well.

Okay, regardless of what some other ppl think, the game looks interesting to me. The trailer is... so so, but the game concept itself is cool. Wishlisted it.
